Hilditch and Brayshaw are probably buddies from their south australian days.

I think we've found the next great Aussie cricket broadcaster.
Ed Cowan will make millions after he decides to retire. Haven't heard someone so comfortable and easy to listen to in a long time, everything he says is extremely insightful.
Couldn't agree more.This. A million times this.
Listening to grandstand for half an hour and I couldn't figure out who it was. The way he spoke it was clear he was a present Shield player, but I didn't click until they addressed him by name. But my word, he was fantastic. The value in thinking before you speak is underrated as a a commentator and he was brilliant. It just goes to show that talent does not equal understanding of the game. He'd be a nice change from former stars; talking about 'the boys' and how important it is to dominate the bowlers by bashing them around regardless of the game situation. With no real insight into the game other than the absurdly obvious.

Brayshaw even admitted that Hilditch was a mate of his from back in the day.
Unfortunately a lot of the channel nine guys let personal bias and friendship cloud their judgements over individual players (and in this case a selector)... none more so than Warney who has a fantastic cricket brain when it comes to tactics, field placings and how someone should approach a particular match situation... but when it comes to rating individual players he is so obviously bias towards people that he likes or doesn't like.

I like Warney but his pro-Carberry and anti-Broad rants were slightly bizarre on the last day. Definitely biased.
At least Slater hides his crush on Davey.i guess he doesnt hide it, which is a silver lining. admits openly he loves clarke
Haha, wouldn't hurt.
Seriously though, it's like with Richie and Bill not being in the mix, the younger guys have decided that they don't need to wear suits.
It looks shabby and disrespectful.
On a related note, Howie and Maher are complete bell ends, but I love the work of Waugh/Flem/Ponting etc on CH10 a the first two, especially, get some great banter going.
Waugh?
Honestly - the man is genuinely thick. Some of the dribble that comes from his mouth is insane.
Ponting has been great though - and I do like Fleming, though can understand if people don't.
Just a quick one - has anyone else noticed Jim Maxwell has become increasingly more pigheaded and opinionated about a whole range of topics in the last few years. Great caller of the game mind you, but tone down the ego
I like how Mark Waugh is at 11. But it was nice of him to make room for his lesser-known brother, Stephen in his 50 at least.only have to read his top 50 players and you know who is mates are and who isn't

On a positive note, Vaughan hinted today that he'll be returning with channel 9 later in the year. Would love it if he could be become a regular.
