I really don't mind the EA, THQ, etc. way of online passes. But this is absolute bullshit.

This will stop people buying the game let alone trying to trade it in...absolute moronic move.

We recalled the game today. We said we aint gonna bother selling it, as its selling the customer short. Imagine being told you can buy a product, but you can only use it once

Moronic.

Good stuff. Publishers will keep pushing this shit onto customers until they hit back.

SSIV:AE on PC is a perfect example. The original plan was to make it so you had to be logged in online to use 1/2 of the characters/dlc/achievements, however the response was so rancid that they changed all of that to make it so you no longer have to be online. Ubisoft's PC DRM is another example where they soon found out that lost sales because of over the top DRM were costing them money and dropped the scheme. A Part of me is a little cynical however due to the fact that EB makes an awful lot of their money via second hand sales, however, either way its better for the consumer in the long run for EB to flat out refuse to stock this.

Well done EB. Not interested in the game at all, but we have to send a message to publishers pulling this kinda crap.

Steam summer sales are up and running. Can't wait to add a shitload of games i'll never play to my backlog.

Oblivion GOTY edition for 7 bucks is mighty tempting. Playing it on 360 atm, but might play through again with the mods and dlc. Might get borderlands GOTY edition as well. Have it on 360 but barely played it. Think it'll be a much better experience on PC.

Top Spin 4 at JB for $39. Thinking of getting it, is it worth it?
Saw the exact same thing yesterday, and I did buy it.

Not bad so far. Probably bought it because it's that tennis season, but it's alright. Online first up was a disaster though, game froze. Have not played online since but will give it another crack soon.

Ended up getting Borderlands to play with some buddies. Gonna pass on Oblivion though. I'm still only on my first play through on 360 and with Skyrim coming out in a few months i'll wait for that.

The Steam sale's been pretty underwhelming so far. Doesn't help that Aussie prices are outrageously high for many games, unlike in other regions.

The only ones I've really considered are Magicka and Hoard, but they both are reportedly riddled with bugs.

Freespace 1 and 2 going for 3 bucks each on GOG. Spread the love.

Picked up Alan Wake for 30 bucks the other day at EB.

Picked up Just Cause 2, Mafia 2 and Darksiders for $70 at EB. All decent games so can't complain. Mass Effect 2 was sold out at GAME though which sucked.

Could easily have picked it up online for $15 or so lately delivered.
