Absolutely right! Judd himself was just on the Ten news basically admitting what he did was stupid and he expects it to be looked at. It was a weak act and while he tried to describe it as an attempt to hit a "pressure point" in front of the ear, an explanation that just made him look like a bigger idiot, he knows he got busted.
If someone had done the same thing to Judd, Carlton fans would be bleating!
He deserves weeks based on vision which shows he gouged a player's eyes while the player was pinned to the ground under a pack. Judd's media comments tonight were basically an admission he has done the wrong thing.
Go Lions!
i agree. he's done this before and was lucky not to get anything. people need to remember there is a big difference between tough and dirty

He's gone.
I don't know why some people are actually defending it, it was a stupid thing to do. Total brain fade, and it will cost him a couple of matches.
Just remember, just because he is Chris Judd doesn't mean he's immune to criticism. Disappointed he did that, what was he thinking? The explanation doesn't do it great justice either. I am hoping his honesty in this will help.

The Juddster has really let himself down here AGAIN.
Driving your fingers into someone's eye-sockets is a horrendous, despicable act.
It beggars belief that one of the icons of the game has such a serious character flaw.
Very disturbing.

I thought that was Teflon Buddythis is the AFLs golden poster boy? lol
Yeah, I reckon he gauged whether to gouge or notJudd used a gauge?![]()
Once he gauged, he decided to gouge. Next thing you know he'll paunch then maybe punch
there is no doubt judd is one of the games best on-ballers... but do u think he would have this god-like status if he was never flanked by cousins and kerr?

I just realized the Bichmond under-achievers are actually chasing a victory of sorts - Juddy not being available for Rnd1 next year
I suppose Geelong supporters would have a fair bit of knowledge of icons that have serious character flaws. Newsflash!!! It is not unusual for successful, gifted people in all walks of life to have character flaws, some a lot worse than running a finger across someone's eye (gifted music guru, Phil Spector is currently serving jail time for killing his partner).
Your hysterical description "driving your fingers into someone's eye-sockets" demonstrates that your post is less about concern for Rischitelli & more about taking a 'pot-shot' at Judd.
At this stage I would prefer that this matter be left up to the AFL's MRP to make a determination on, rather than some 'nuff-nuffs' on BF who have their own private agendas.
this is the AFLs golden poster boy? lol
he looked like a blind guy trying to work out if that was really his wife underneath him
Seriously, it doesn;t look good but a closer look on you tube, from front on he didn;t seem to really gouge, and Rischitelli didn;t remonstrate just got up and continued to play. IMO looking at the footage from behind Judd it looked worse than it really was.
It;s a big deal cos it's Chris Judd.

Fortunately it appears that Rischitelli has avoided serious eye damage.
No decent football supporter could defend the actions of Judd. Making light of such an incident shows a complete lack of respect for the moral integrity of our great game.
