as good as judd is midfielders pop up from everywhere these days.. obviously very few of them are as good as judd but superstar centrehalf forwards are extremely rare.. add to that the fact we have heaps of midfielders and no real standout forward i would take jonathon brown without any second thoughts

also with west coasts position having an army of gun midfielders, i believe theyd be better off with jonathon brown then chris judd as well, swap them 2 and i believe they would have been 2005 premiers

I disagree. If Judd hadn't played in the GF last year we would've lost by 10 times the margin. It wasn't a day for key forwards so at best perhaps Brown would've kicked three. I agree that WC need an elite KP forward in place of one of the "magnificent seven", but not Judd.

Another thing to consider is injuries. Judd has been injured once in his career so far. Brown is starting to miss a good amount of games.

I think Lynchy looks alright for your long term FF. What you need is a Wayne Carey at CHF. Be interesting to see what the Weagles do come draft time If you did pick up Gumbleton, Thorp or Hansen and put them at CHF, would you throw Ashley Hansen in at CHB? Hmmm.

Brown - easy ... but he'll never play in SA. There's probably a very remote chance Pavlich might move home at some stage.

Judd is fast, runs the lines is a ball magnet and is a game breaker- everything Essendon lack.

as Melbourne has a strongish Midfielder, we would benifit most from Brown but his constant injuries are a worry. With Neitz going we wont have a power forward as we can't rely solely on Dunn and or Miller.

Agreed. Judd is definitely the better football and but a quality key forward like Brown are rare and sorely needed by the Crows. Although I'm surprised there aren't more votes for Judd. I think a lot of teams have over rated their midfield.

Close one. I think maybe Pav would benefit from being in any team other than Freo. But Brown at the moment. When not injured of course.
