I think showing he can do that is more the point
I think showing he can do that on a regular basis is even more the point.

Never ceases to amaze how supporters - of all teams mind you - can be so passionate about a club and yet have so little understanding of the game itself. Your whole post indicates to me how little grasp you have of how important Priddis is to WC's set-up, which I can only presume is a result of having spent little to no time playing the game.
What I think important is learned posters on here pass on some of their knowledge so people like Kernel Saunders can start to understand the game they obviously love - so i'll start it off.
"if you cant win contested possession - of which Priddis is in the top 2-3 in the league - then no matter how fast you can run back defensively, your team will be smashed"
Carry on posters...

This year, Priddis has been quicker in getting handballs or kicks out and has been tied up with the ball a hell of a lot less. Hence his contibution has been great. For some years he could not be faulted for hard ball gets and tackling but his greater awareness (Or more aware players around him) have made him a top player.I think you'll find that those who regularly criticize Priddis and don't rate him don't know much about the game.
Could the years of Woosh playing Masten out of position on a HFF in a development role finally be starting to pay off?
Next year will be his breakout year. We have said it every year but very very promising signs. When he got his 2 goals he also had 5 goal assists. Can't remember who he did it to but he tapped it perfectly down to our player(might have been Scooter) and they got the goal.
Beautiful hand passes all night.
Yep I recall that well as it was right in front of me. He knew it wouldn't be paid a mark so he tapped it down to Shuey who goaled.IIRC, Masten tapped it down to Shuey, who then snapped a goal.
tom swift to pull a chris masten at the end of next year.
Football is 40% about talent and 40% about opportunity. Now the difference between the last two weeks and most of Mastens games between now and late 2009? The large minutes in the middle.
Woosha playing him forward of the ball will pay off, just like it has with Ebert who tonight showed he's still got what it takes in the centre square.
The penny has dropped for Masten now he has been made to work for his spot in the team and meeting the players going to Melb at the airport while he was flying to Geraldton ,would have pricked his pride ,He has responded very professionally and now the rewards are coming ..![]()
I hope Chris Masten can become our Jimmy Bartel. Jimmy was crucified by Cats supporters for his first 3 to 5 years after being a high draft pick in a very strong draft and failing to show many signs. While Masten came from a much weaker draft and I doubt will be anywhere near as good I think he does have the attributes to become a decent player. Its just too bad he is such a knob.
Suffers from past indiscretions and his association with Palmer but is actually a pretty decent guy, has mellowed out heaps since meeting his missus, most of the muppets on this board wouldn't know that though so they just make ASSsumptions.
