Happened right in front of where I was sitting, was seriously scared for him. He was lying down on the ground after it happened, he was knocked out with his left arm slightly twitching. I actually thought that he might have broken his neck. Was very happy to see him get up and run off, thank **** he's ok.
MELBOURNE forward Mitch Clark has escaped serious injury, despite falling heavily on his neck during the third quarter of Sunday’s 21-point loss to the Western Bulldogs at the MCG.
Clark flew high for a mark in a pack situation, but fell forward and crashed head first into the turf.
Initially, he did not move, but once he got to his feet from the assistance of the Melbourne medical team, he remarkably lightly jogged from the field.
Clark was immediately taken to Epworth Hospital via ambulance for precautionary scans.
But following medical assessment, Clark was cleared of structural damage and was discharged at 10pm on Sunday night.
Clark will be monitored throughout the week in regards to his availability for Saturday night’s clash against St Kilda at the MCG.
So the club releases a statement saying he's fine.... when they know he needs more scans?
Hmmm...
And 'getting up and jogging' made it worse?
Hmmmmm.... yeah, that sounds consistent with an impact injury.
Very true, my post was directed at CTB by the way; not you SM.
How does the concussion rule work? He got knocked out, so can he play next week?!
