Science/Environment Climate change predictions that were wrong

Maybe you can name some for him?
Or you could just Google it

Better still. Ignore science and reality whilst mindlessly regurgitating what your masters at Sky After Dark have ordered you to believe 👍

Back to the thread topic: The climate change predictions that, in hindsight, were most wrong were the poor fools who insisted it isn’t happening. They must feel so stupid and gullible.

I googled which beaches in wilsons prom and south Gippsland have been washed away by climate change but didnt get anything, thisnis why I asked the bloke who saw it with his own eyes which beaches. He made a very soecific claim which I asked for some details about, no need to have a hissy fit.

Soz Bro
Not having a hissy fit, just a bit incredulous 🙂

Me too, I wasn't aware of any beaches in Victoria have been reclaimed by the ocean as a result of rising sea levels, so when CD Xbow told me that there's a few from down his area that no longer exist I was interested which ones so I could go see for myself.
I'm sure he will answer me soon......

Inverloch was one of the areas I saw that was terrible. It is a concern for the locals if you bother to ask. I also went from Cheltenham down to nearly Frankston and thought the beaches were much less extent than when I grew up down that way. Yes, there are many reasons why beaches may ebb and flow, one of them is sea level rise.

Do you not believe in the rise in global sea level?

Why do seaside properties continue to increase in price well ahead of non seaside properties ?
That’s driven by public demand. Nothing to do with government choices.

Try not answering a question with a question.

Again I ask… If coal is going to kill the world and cost Australians their future why are we stopping its use while selling it over seas for country’s to burn?

Asking the wrong person. We pretend to care while doing very little actual change. What we are doing (heavily pushing rooftop solar) is also massively hurting poor people. But most people dont seem to care.

Probably because their rooftop solar makes them lots of money.

Worth a read , why some people are being manipulated into thinking climate change isn't real.

How is pushing solar hurting poor people? Does making power cheaper for everyone hurt poor people? Does helping stop climate change which will most impact people who cant afford air conditioning hurt poor people?

Because rich people get solar and keep their energy costs down. Poor people dont get that option and instead have to pay for energy the old way, where the energy costs continue to go up massively each year.

The very poor get subsidised, but the regular poor just have to lump the increasing costs.

Article about the extreme ocean warming we have been experiencing in Australia over recent times. Increased rainfall and cyclones, reef bleaching and of course the algal disaster in SA - all of these events predicated by climate scientists.

https://www.abc.net.au/news/2025-10-02/hottest-year-on-record-in-oceans-around-australia/105698530

Remember Trumpy says climate change is a hoax and Abbott said it's crap. Perhaps the threads name should be changed to "Stupid conservatives who are wrong",

When you predict everything from droughts turning cities into wastelands to floods destroying crops and industry its pretty easy to get accurate predictions from time to time.

I think you will find it's a bit better than that.

The destruction of the ocean ecosystems it not something we have seen before and now for the first time in human history we have thousands of km's of SA seashore deader than Duttons nuclear plan. Same with the coral reefs, they are increasingly being affected with marine heatwaves. This has all been predicted despite it never happening before. As I explained in an earlier post, the earliest and most significant signs of the climate disaster will seen in the marine environment. Which is exactly what we are seeing and which was predicted.

How old do you think the Great Barrier Reef is? Maybe look it up and surprise yourself.

Reefs literally are living and dying all the time.
