I don't think this so called super coaching panel at Essendon is all that good at all.

I feel that this whole Essendon whiz bang coaching circus, fully loaded with bygone club heroes has an element of disaster written all over it.

I expect it will be even if it isn't broken the expectation will push it toward a tragedy of Greek proportions. .. Not to mention that it appears they've stuffed Choco and Ladley around (stringing it out) and probably wont have the best rep when (if?) it comes to replacing Hird. .. Place all that on the shoulders of a completely untried coach and I can smell what they are cooking from here. ..

It will drag out for a while though because Hird has cred with the fans and when things start going sour Bomber will chime in and perk things up for a while. ..

Brett Kirk is a **** !

Nothing but a glorified bloody tagger .

Its always amazed me the love for Kirk , when every other tagger in the league is despised .

Ratts is already obsessed with taggers , the last thing we would need is Kirk in his ear !!!

I attribute the Swans culture to Roos .
Kirk forged a great career for a bloody glorified tagger !
Dont forget Barry Hall was captain of the premiership team at Sydney and only lost his way due to personal matters .
Of course , good old Brett Kirk was in the shadows only to willing to step into Barry's shoes !

Like your thinking re the calibre of Kirk's integrity and leadership. These sort of people are gmes in any capacity. Have a feeling that Gavin Brown may bring aspects of this to the club.

Has anyone heard whats going on with the appointment of the Bullants/Carlton Development coach ? Cant the club find anyone?
I was told they were supposed to make a announcement last friday and we still havent heard anything. Think its weird pre season has started and the clubs cant tell us who the Reserves coach will be....
