This year's first and next two seconds for Treloar and Hampton?
Treloar and Stewart?

Stewart is too similar to Moore for us to be interested in, and there is evidence to suggest Derek Hine doesn't rate him.

The dream trade for me is Treloar + Hampton for 1st round pick + Witts. I think that's fair enough for GWS to accept it, assuming they rate Witts.

Isn't Stewart more of a third tall, rather than a key.
BTW, I get what you mean about Hine.

Stewart is a mobile lead and mark 200cm KPF, pretty much the exact same as Moore with the agility and skill.

I think a Cloke or Hawkins type would compliment Moore a lot better, someone you can bomb it on their head as a get out of trouble option.

So White then? :p

Two first rounders and a mid range player not a Seedsman type more a Crisp best 22.
You know that before this year, Crisp was a 'Seedsman type' right? He'd played 18 games in 3 years ffs. Stop acting like he somehow had more currency than a third rounder.

Are you responding to someone on my 'ignore' list? :p

Mark Robinson was saying on the radio just a few hours ago when speaking on Carlton. That Kreuzer isn't happy with the offer that Carlton has put forward, which was I think $1.5million over 4 years. Then he revealed that Carlton are currently paying 100% of their salary which Dermie was absolutely amazed about, but then saw that it was plausible as previously, they were building for a 'premiership' side which means that they were probably paying overs on a lot of their players (and Daisy).
Robbo seemed confident in what he was saying, and if it is true and they are currently paying 100% of

Doesn't surprise me. Murphy only getting paid 300k this year

Is he over his Hangover?

Kruezer will surely not be at Carlton next year now that they have pick 1.

Get Kruezer, Treloar and Aish, keep Scharenberg and that would be a fantastic off season.

So Carltank have Pick 1 and 2?

Not really. Crisp played the last 6 games for Brisbane in the seniors and played them well.

Only if the contract offered to Kruezer by another club is equal to the top band of compensation. The Blues would let him walk if that was the case and welcome Weitering and Schache. Not a bad start to the list rebuild.

Crisp performed well in his last run of games at the Lions, but he was a project player that was a bit of a ball butcher. The reason he put his hand up to come here was because we guaranteed him senior game time whereas the Lions didn't. So by definition, he wasn't a best 22 player and hadn't done anything to make them think he would be there long term.

But we obviously thought we could get the best out of him and make him a best 22 player. Which happened a lot quicker than most of us anticipated. And that is the view some other clubs might have with Seedsman. Seeds is inconsistent as hell and very poor at the contest, but his best is capable of ripping teams to shreds. He's a good low investment, high potential reward kind of player for certain teams. Perfect steak knives if we want to trade him.

Shits me that he isn't living up to his potential though. He is basically everything we need in the mid/wing.

Are you trying to imply that Seedsman has had less than 6 solid games in his 49 games at AFL level?

You can't seriously be trying to say that 6 solid games out of 18 over 3 years in one of the worst teams in the competition made Crisp a 'best 22' player? He was a fringe player who Brisbane thought was expendable and it bit them in the arse. Nothing more.

Although don't be surprised if they do with this what they did with Frawley from the Demons last year if Kreuzer does leave, be generous with the band ranking for compensation (and with the Lions should Leuenbeger leave) and give them a band one even if it should be band two or three, in order to give them priority picks without actually giving them priority picks.

Frawley was offered a band one contract though?

You can almost bank on it.

The AFL needs to make some changes to the way the compensation is given. The compensation should be at the expense of the club getting the free agent. As it stands all clubs are penalized because one player, example Kruzer, wants to go to another club.

Imagine if Leuenberger and Kreuzer both leave and receive band 1. So Carlton and Brisbane get the first four picks. In a supposedly shallow draft, that's kind of crazy. AFL really needs to limit compensation to end of round picks. And reshuffle the tiers a bit so that departing superstars that are leaving for megabucks (700k+ a year) ensure that the team receives 2 end of round picks. It pushes back second round picks sure, but it also means that teams aren't disadvantaged at the top end with their first rounders. Which IMO is the most important bit.

TBH, I'm not overly worried about that, I'm more worried about the AFL tying it next to the clubs pick, how Melbourne got 3 for Frawley and Hawks 19 for Franklin.
