We went down a few gears. That's fine. Only lost the quarter by a goal.
Umpires did a great job to bring port into the game early in that quarter. Frees, non marks and non frees to pies. Well played maggots

You really have to wonder why Taranto picked Richmond over Collingwood if he could have been a part of this. If I'm a talented player who has the pick of clubs, assuming the Pies can afford me, I'd be choosing them as it's exciting football. What's better is looking at the list in the VFL. Macrae isn't even in the firsts but he could start tomorrow. If he was at Hawthorn, it'd be every week. We're not fielding McInnes, Carmichael or Johnson. And then you look at numbers and JDG has had a quiet game - not that you'd know it.

I'm a fan of being conservative at this stage. We don't need injuries. Although if we could score ten goals in a quarter, that would be satisfying.
As we saw last night a big lead can evaporate quickly.
