It was a solid team effort yesterday, a lot of players that deserve to be praised. The most underrated player imo is JOM who shut down Kennedy and got under his skin which allowed Serong to get off the chain. Remember when JOM was the one who used to lineup on Brayshaw and we used to hate him for it.

I think these lower teams think we are gettable, so pencil it down as an upset opportunity, whilst the Geelong's of this world, they just roll over against.

I think they are missing half their best ten players, plus their next five best fringe players and most of their structurals such that their ruck coach has to play.
They have a lot of scope for improvement from just player availability. They might also go buy some new talent too and if that's a clearance mid and or a ruckman they are in good shape to massively improve on their 2025.

Merrett is cooked, Draper is gone, they have one good youngster in Caddy. I see absolutely zero upside.... could fall below WCE and win the spoon next year, they're a rabble and we should be throwing $$ at Nic Martin to leave that dumpster fire.
What player would actively go there? Hardly Reid even said no and would rather stay at the mob up the road.
Plus they don't have the good Scott coaching them.
Pros:
Room for improvement:
- Great win at the end of all that and will enjoy watching all of the replay.
- Beat Carlton who just know how to beat us up.
- Backline and key fwds played well, decent cameos from the small fwds.
- Our gameplan has held up under plenty of adversity over the past 3 months. As the thread suggests, comeback kings.
Room for improvement:
- Would like to be able to enjoy watching more of our wins live. You know, get in front at the start and stay there till the end.
- Midfield is still our glaring weakness, bullied again, some of the worst wing options league wide and lacking a big bodied A-grader (I’d settle for a B-grader).
- Brayshaw was physically intimidated and Bolton was a liability.

Just watched the replay. JOM immense in the second half. Serong great in the last quarter, just willed it forward. Drizzy didn't seem up to the pace of it and spent most of the time slipping or falling over and on the turf. Shai and Fred had little influence. Fred's not going to like the review of 2 or 3 times where he needed to commit and didn't.

It’s annoying that we keep having to find ways to win, but it’s pleasing that we are able to find wins and pull them out of or arses. It’s a very good sign across the board to have a list who are willing to do somethings differently to try and turn a potential loss in to a win.
Teams don’t usually win 10 of their last 11 games. If you take away the two aberrations that were the Geelong and Saints games, we were within two straight kicks in every other game. We are doing a lot right a lot of the time.

Thought Worner was absolutely huge and backline as a whole really solid keeping TDK and McKay pretty quiet. Dudley and Voss two of the best things to happen to us this year. Should have been ahead earlier but on the other hand, great to see we are capable of surging back in the 4th, when we have mostly been used to us falling off.
