The fact Rawlings is still employed after 6 years of rubbish shows how serious and gutless the club is. A boys club with mates protecting mates without the best interests of the club at mind.

It has been six years... six years of unprecedented ineptitude. How long is long enough to tolerate this rubbish?
No club in AFL history has been subjected to this much rubbish for this long.

West Coast might be heading that way but at least they have a recent premiership to show for it!

You are talking like we have gone through a couple of years of poor performances after a good period and people needing to be positive and constructive. We're nowhere near that.

No, we have been terrible for a very long time. I am just pointing out the futility of whinging on a public discussion board. Or is it that it just makes people feel better having like minded people to vent to? Me personally, I come here looking for anything even remotely positive to make myself feel better about the possibility of us turning a corner one day.

That’s fine and you’ll see that if we beat St Kilda and/or Richmond. This place is crying out for something to cling to and some hope for the future and generally even the most pessimistic posters here are satisfied after a good win.

Not coming here to have a shot at you and back up what NRT was saying - the frustration and venting has been mostly spot on after Saturday, but there was a good chunk of negativity during our (as close as to) purple patch earlier this year, and those getting pot shotted for being positive.

Regardless though, like any dysfunctional family going through a rough patch is going to make us understandably crabby, at the end of the day we can all agree what we want is a successful NMFC and we're very hungry for us to be competitive again.

And just as a general comment on the Media, the same media (rightly) criticising us, were the same ones singing our praises a month ago. I actually think positive media is the worst thing for us because positive reinforcement just leads to complacency and erosion of any small gains and eternity before we get back to producing anything resembling consistently decent footy.

Been the recurring theme of the last 5 years and vicious cycle that keeps going.
