News Confident Jack Predicts Big Future

RICHMOND fans can rejoice. The club's No. 1 player Jack Riewoldt has forecast a very big year, not only for the club, but for himself as well......

......He said there was a major cultural shift underway at Punt Road and was looking forward to reaping the rewards soon.
"We're excited and enthusiastic down at Richmond. One thing that we're going to do is become really professional.
"The club hasn't had a lot of success of late so we as players are ready to rectify that for the Richmond football club.
"We are going to be young next year and we're going to be exciting. It's going to be quite enjoyable for our fans to watch our brand of football next season. We've got great kids coming through. The players are really excited about the future and where it's going to take us."
He singled out big years for David Astbury, who will don the No.12 jumper worn by club legend Matthew Richardson, and cult hero Dustin Martin.
But he added: "It doesn't matter how good an individual player is, it's what you can do as a team and I think we've got the right mix to take this club forward."

Have to agree, while it is good to read that the players are feeling confident about our future, the words don't mean much if the actions don't back them up.

I have to agree with Jack . The boys have been working hard and everyone is cherry ripe for a huge tilt at the premiership. I'd be surprised if we don't finish top 6 and Jack cracks the ton. I'll also be putting money on Deledio for the Brownlow and Hardwick All Australian Coach but I think it's important we keep a lid on things as it is still a young group.

Exactly, some supporters that concentrate on the negative's of the past baffles me. This is the present and the team is going places all things said should be nothing but positive about the new Richmond all things in the past are totally irrelevant.

Of course it is relevant, we need to stop overrating ourselves publicly. Sure have confidence, but there is nothing to gain from telling everyone about it when you just came 15th with 6 wins. You just set yourself up for a fail and people switch off mightily fast.
