Yes he was good today, give him a long run in the seniors I say, our back line is coming together nicely.

Had a decent game yesterday. .. looked a little lost sometimes when we were streaming out of defence but overall a solid game. .. Looked much more at home on a mobile KPF than a stay at home KPF. .. Hope he gets another week. ..

However with Bower a chance coming back his name will be up for debate. .. Had a better game than Laidler (Quiet yesterday, hard to tell how his man went with all the rotations) and Russell (who played better than most suggest but not solid), so should stay but may not. .. Duigan was probably in sight for Bower before yesterday but he definitely stepped up. ..

The sad thing is that Austin would be probably playing on these type of opponents if he was fit and in form. I like White, but Aussie ticks more boxes with his size, disposal, speed and mobility. Though White's game probably has more intensity and urgency. Good to have some depth with Watson, Bower, McCarthy and McInnes in reserve.

And Thornton.

Hard to see Austin coming back from here.
 
Much better defensively then Watson but is probably a poor mans Jamison at his best. Still a solid tall back whilst Bower is out. For all the wanking over Hurley in the 1st quarter from the commentators it was strange to not hear a single good thing (or anything really) said about White after he single handily shut Hurley out of the game...

Yeah, Austin is almost on a hiding to nothing now. .. Would have to come back and smash it quickly to be a chance. .. He has been waylaid with injury for too long now. .. I think his only hope is to do enough in the back end of the season to earn a rookie spot. .. Starting next year, there'll just be too much competition for his spot, even White is ahead of him as a KPP now and we cannot afford to hold him on the list. .. I hope he catches a break and I sincerely hope Mitchell, early doors, doesn't travel the same path. ..
 
Thought White was excellent on Saturday. To be honest I never really saw what others did in him, especially after round 1, but he was so good against Hurley that he should hold down chb for a few more games at least. Getting Bower back in will help the backline as well.

On a related note I was hoping we would send hendo back there, whenever he went back last year he always looked really good, great positioning and strong spoiling. It is more his go when he is so out of touch. His talent lies in getting to the fall of the ball, the only problem is once he does he either forgets to put his arms up or forgets to 'grip' whent he ball hits his hands. But now white is playing so well I think he will need to go back to the magoos to get some more touch.

Anyway well done Whitey, best game I have seen him play, keep it up
