Nothing to do with conditions. I'd go as far as saying that if anything, the conditions helped us.Macca19 said:Too clever and too skillful given the conditions. Your recent dominance over us continues.

Seriously though, that must be the most it has pi$$ed down at a crows game here for aaaaggggggeeess. There was a game against hawtorn a while back 2002 i think that was a little wet, but this took it to a new level!!! I was soaked, will probably spend the next week in bed with the flu (haha, nah), and my phone seems like it is dead from all the water...but it was all worth it in the end.
Yep when Carey cut his knee on the goal post.Chops18 said:There was a game a cpl of years ago when the bombers played there poured down similar to that.

While that is true, it is also a bit simplistic. We should be giving a better contest than we are, that is why a lot of Port supporters are fissed off atm. Nobody is saying we should be winning a premiership, but not giving a contest is a different storySpringChoke said:Something alot of Port supporters didn't understand between 2001-2003 is that footy is cyclical and the tables always turn, especially in this competition. I would say they MAY turn again in 2-3 years when Macca, Roo, Goody, Hart and Edwards all retire.

We have plenty of players that should be top shelf or close to it at their peak age wise right now yet their output is anything but. Not too different to you lot a couple of years back.
Your biggest improvement has come from these players not the younger ones. Your top liners started playing like top liners again and the youngsters followed not the other way around.
You should venture to our board more often Springy.SpringChoke said:... The best comment I have seen on the Port board for quite awhile is that Choccos Gold Pass mentality of 2005 has stifled the development of the likes of Ebert, Salopak, Pettigrew, Chaplin, White etc. ...
Kane McGoodwin said:Cheers to the Port guys who venture on to our board. You guys are still a good chance to make the finals ... but have some decisions ahead about risking losing games by playing the younger guys. For me your main problem (which I have talked with my Port mates) is redeveloping your midfield. You should be playing your best players there - ie. Both Cornes & Burgoynes, Cassisi & Salopek. I would be playing Thurstans & CHB (give Chaplin time to develop as your 3rd tall defender with Wakelin FB) & perist with White @ CHF (why pull him off the ground?0
