It's now official, Dane Swan has won his first ever "player of the year" award, in the Sunday Herald Sun Player of the year award.

Swan won the award by one vote from Chris Judd with Ablett a further 2 votes back.

Hopefully the first of many awards for our Swanny, culminating in the "big one" the Monday before the GF.

This morning a kookaburra flew across the path in front of me - it was being chased by a magpie. Twenty metres farther along, a second magpie was dive-bombing the kookaburra's mate. The magpies won. It was a sign.

This morning a kookaburra flew across the path in front of me - it was being chased by a magpie. Twenty metres farther along, a second magpie was dive-bombing the kookaburra's mate. The magpies won. It was a sign.

Yeah there are signs everywhere, My pet magpie turned up at the back door again today, has been coming daily since I got home from the Carlton loss early on in the year, he/she's a good luck charm.

So happy for swanny, well done mate you deserve it! I know it sounds one sided to say this but for me no one else should have won it.

Swanny should win the charlie also as he works so hard to get all his touches. Although saying this i can unfortunetly see swanny not taking it home as the umpires suck up the a** of ablett and judd. They seem to think its so amazing when ablett receives a handball around the back or in the defensive goal square.

Anyway swanna your the brownlow man in all pies fans eyes, and can stick it up the comp when your holding the premiership cup and norm smith aloft on grand final day ... ahh dreams do come true sometimes maybe this yr.. lets hope! GO PIES

was leaning more towards that ablett and judd will poll more brownlow votes than they should by polling votes where they shouldn't. On the fact that umpires have an obsession with them and get carried away by things they do.
