Agreed.
List of midfielders that you can't really dispute are currently better than Coniglio: Fyfe, Dangerfield, Martin. That is all. Any other names you can at least have a debate over.
I'm not saying he is the 4th best midfielder in the comp but he is in the next tier where you could have a solid debate for all being on the same level (names like Kelly, Selwood, Pendlebury, Kennedy etc.).
Taking this into consideration, he would have to be ranked in the 10-40 zone including all players in the AFL.
Personally I would have him somewhere around 20. Definitely has the scope to push higher as well.

Pretty much what you said. I actually think the most directly comparable are Sloane and Tom Mitchell. I can't have him above either at this stage, but he's close. He'll never win a Brownlow, our mids share it around too much. I hope he might have a shot at a Norm Smith one day, but we'll see. I know he'll stand up under pressure at least.
Also bear in mind in 2015 we got a rare glimpse of how the club values him, it was said publicly that Treloar, Shiel and him were offerred similar contracts. 2 years on things can change a bit though.

He always has. Reportedly met with Freo before re-signing in 2015. Like Dylan Shiel I think they're on 2 year contracts just so they a regular salary review.
How so if you don't mind me asking?
I personally think it's stupid to suggest he wouldn't. Who's spot over Danger, Ablett, Selwood, Duncan do you suggest he take?
He wouldn't get in before those players.

He's far superior to Duncan and far more durable than 34 year old Ablett who should be spending most of his time up forward and only in the midfield when Dangerfield goes forward.

The whole season? He polled 17 Brownlow votes despite playing in a stacked team. I’d say he had more than “2 or 3” good games.

He's a jet, and always has been since he kicked 4 in the WAFL gf as a 16 year old.
Currently I'd have him in the top 3, in no order: Martin, Buddy, Coniglio.

That would only be possible if Shiel and Kelly also get poached.
But he's a jet. They are blessed with talent, team of stars, but can they be a star team? I think this year will be it.
