Was anyone monitoring how many pies, sausage rolls, beers, Harley had last night?
Harley off season fat watch, if he’s spending his millions at the Geelong bakery and BWS in the off season, I’m gonna be pissed.
Reckon he won't be doing that ever again. I recall Mini making it clear what is expected from players in this off-season. Expecting a super fit HR9 (and others) ready to rock n' roll.

Don't rule out Neale, regardless of what has been said publicly. Still a bit of play out with him.
You seem to have some decent intel??
If BRI win the GF and Langford trade goes ahead, I can certainly see the Neale trade becoming a reality.

Lets see how it plays out. There is a benefit to Neale being off of Brisbane's books.

Now you have burst the Simpkin bubble for the last few pages, which makes much more sense than coming to WC.
Who is the B+ grade midfielder that WC are actively chasing and most likely to land?
Merrett to Hawks.
Petracca to Adelaide.
Flanders to Melbourne.
Praying for Neale, but I think it’ll be Steele.

Yep, either would be a big upgrade but like all here the Neale connection and possibility would be the best outcome for 3 years.
He is still elite and one of the best standard setters at a premiership side.
I would pay overs to package up Neale, Starcevich, Robertson and Ah Chee in a deal.
BRI are going to need salary cap space and picks to land Academy picks and players.

About 2 weeks to the trade period, thank gawd, get some substance and finality to all the neverending rumours and speculation...

Agree with this (and missing out on Ah Chee wouldn't be the end of the world) but I'd draw the line at giving up pick 2. Hawks 1st, a couple of later picks and a promise not to bid on Annable?

I'd hate to lose our F2 given it's meant to be a really strong daft, we should be looking to trade into the 2026 draft, not out. Maybe I'm less keen to pay overs than I initially thought :D

If Hill goes too that’s a fair shake up to their forward line. Watch them somehow land Curnow or similar 🙄
Are either freo or us taking bobby Hill after he signed that long term high dollar contract then preceded to go off the rails after his partner left ?

If pies try to trade him in contract it would be dayne beams all over again

BRI will need points for Annable, Bridge, Prindable from their academy, Bridge and Prindable most likely 3rd round on so they can match with a current pick, Annable will be top 5 so will need 1800 points for a bid and they only have 1600.

They will need picks for potential Ridley trade so they will be needing an early 2nd, late 1st for him about.

So basically WC could do a swap of some picks like BRI 17/18 for WC assistance 19 and 2nd round 23 roughly.

By overs I would be including AFL assistance pick 19 for Neale, 23 for Starcevich and Robertson and BRI F2nd coming back.
That gets them all they would need and WC by giving up 23 are basically paying Hawks 2nd, and an early 3rd for Robertson with BRI F2nd coming back its a swap of a few spots for Robertson and BRI get their desired targets and we get ours.

Which Langford are Brisbane trading in? Don’t think I’ve seen anything on that

Kinda startling for him to speak so openly about pretty much already being a Brisbane player.

No surprise to me, because he checked out mentally of being a West Coast player really earlier this year, plus talk had already emerged about him and Brisbane, being in discussions, this time LAST year.

Talks with Brisbane this time last year.
Followed up in April with talks with Whorethorn to get his contract price up.

He and his manager have clearly been planning the exit strategy for 18 months or so.
That being the case then he should have stepped down as Co Captain, to have not done so just reeks of insincerity.

Lack of commitment and insincerity are two things that you DONT want your leaders to display.

Demonstrated by his actions that he had neither loyalty nor commitment to West Coast.

He has been a Claytons Co-Captain.

I will be glad to see the back of him, his lack of stability and integrity when entrusted with a senior leadership has been farcical.

When you have very young group coming through the system together, you need strong leadership committed to the cause.

What he gave was a two faced effort, that was self centred and self serving.
