With Schoefield and Webster moving to Port, and Rioli retiring - any chance Port go for Ryan?
In the race apparently but Saints Ryan’s preferred atm. Better deal but like MWT said due to Ryan being contracted they have to find a way to get the trade done.

Something liek that would be the dream draft.
Then just take NGAs and f/s as many as list spots permit.
Wonder if Sydney would consider 7 and 10 for Warner that they could use for Curnow too, if we could guarantee the top 2 18 year olds and still manage to get Warner I think we'd have to do it.

They just reported that Jarrad Schofield is leaving and has had his contract paid out by the club.

Sounds like a sacking to me. You don't pay out contracts if somebody resigns. Maybe he didn't get along with McQualter.

Mcqualter was always going to get the assistants he wanted not Simmos leftovers

To be fair, when an assistant misses out on the top job, it's pretty common for them to move on. McQualter himself left Richmond after losing the job to Yze

Max Heath looks an obvious target for me.

Strong VFL form.

Only 22 and hasn't hit his prime yet.

Won't get a look in with TDK and Marshall.

Saints can afford to lose him as also have Dodson.

Would just need to not trip over his shoe laces to start ahead of Flynn and Williams in Round 1.
Absolutely gettable.

Need to think laterally RE the Ryan trade - need to see how this could assist in getting a McVee type through the door
Id rather one of the Saints kids(names that have popped up as suggestions in here) or a 1st round pick upgrade than McVee tbh.
I dont think McVee is a huge need for us considering we likely get Duursma, and now have McCarthy

If those picks are going to Carlton, then no bueno

Carlton will want to get ahead of a Harry Dean bid, not more picks in the same range he is likely to be picked.

Itd have to be one of pick 1 or 2 for Warner

Given the retirement of Sheed and McGovern, and the potential loss of Allan and Ryan, surely we have a boatload of money in the cap.

Any chance we might go after a big fish?
Doubt we could land genuine A Graders in their prime. We could look at clubs with tight caps either a Jack Bowes salary dump or acquire a good player like Lachie Neale, don’t know how Lions pay Oscar and Draper with their current list.
