Could we be looking at a Jaxon Artemis or Clancy Dennis? Now Sheed is a LTI

Does anyone have any goss that the club has actually considered Clancy Dennis at any stage? Seems unlikely if we've trialled two young KPD's from interstate.

Ditto Parfitt, I'd love him in the side but have read nothing but speculation

Just on Tomlinson...It's not exactly an exciting signature but it is cheap insurance. I wouldn't complain, to be honest.

Dennis had successful surgery late last year that meant he wouldn’t have been able to do a preseason so from that point of view other than the risk of him being taken by another club there was little to gain by adding him to the list before the MSD.

A good start to the league with Claremont and he will be strongly considered at the MSD.

Question. If Sheed does retire do we upgrade maric to the main list as we do have to do that eventually?

That’s an end of season decision and not something that’s necessary particularly considering a rookies base pay is excluded from the salary cap. Further, as a MSD pickup in 2023 he can remain on the rookie list until the end of 2026

The only rookie we need to upgrade this year is Tyrell Dewar who will complete his 3rd full year on the list this year having been recruited to the club at the end of 2022. But that can wait until the end of the year

A look at elite prospect Fred Rodriguez putting in a strong performance as a bottom ager in the WAFL Colts competition. While he wasn't able to find quite as much space in this game as he typically does, he was damaging with the opportunities he had and put in a real shift at stoppage, extracting the footy himself or laying a strong tackle.

Can Fred make an early move in 2025 and challenge for pick 1 favouritism?

Someone light the Dylan82 beacons
Dylan82 would've been perfect but the question is would've he been willing to re locate to Perth from Brisbane with his family.

Other topic, I would like to see us sign Tomlinson, he can provide Key Defender cover especially that Barrass is gone and can also play on the wing if needed.

George Grey VFL, 5th in Fothergill-Round-Mitchell medal, missed 6 weeks with a face fracture so might have polled much better if full season.
Speedy HB/mid who is 24yo, has been playing mid/fwd for most of career and switched to HB in 2024 and had a massive season, averaging 22 disposals, 5.5 rebounds and 4.5 marks a game, regarded for his pace and ball use.
Might be worth a look, tough customer and maybe only second to Riley Bice in VFL HB players, named on wing in VFL team of the year 2024. Similar to Ben Jepson who GC just signed?

Not quite the same assurance that Jake gave when asked about where he saw his future…

He's not exactly going to immediately undermine his manager's efforts to drive the contract up after leaking Brisbane's interest.

I would have thought that Oscar knows exactly what he needs to do to secure another well paid contract and that is to stay on the park and play really good footy.
I like that he’s just focused on playing, the rest will take care of itself.
If he could played a whole season of footy it would be fantastic, great player to watch, a natural forward and a natural leader.
