The pies supposedly paid extra to Tony Shaw to mow the lawns at Victoria Park and Darren Jarmans wife allegedly worked in the Hawthorn office for about $40k.

The only club I don’t want to have to deal with is the cats if Harley did decide to go. They are the biggest campaigners by far.
Heard somewhere on some program that living in a big city is what's most likely to make Harley leave Perth.
Doesn't leave too many options for vic teams if it's true

The stories abound that it is Geelong. Time for payback over TK.

A few late first rounders?

So, just more speculation?

He himself said he wanted to play for Collingwood, if he had the choice, because he wanted to play in big games.

Playing in front of knitting nannas down at Geelong doesn't sound like something he'd find appealing.

Is starting to feel like Harley needs his own trade thread in addition to this thread and his own thread and the main board thread for all the melts in response to any media article suggesting they have insider knowledge that he’s leaving. McClure, Hird, Ablett etc are hardly reputable sources. He hasn’t even started his second season of a three year deal fellas! Let’s wait to hear from Harley, the Geisch or the great man Matthew Clarke himself before we start shitting ourselves

Gavin Bell recently stated that they are talking to Harley's management, if that's true then he wouldn't be talking to us if he has made up his mind to leave.
If he does the jumper pull after scoring his first goal on Sunday and/or after giving Rowell a big don't argue will be his way of saying I'm staying.
The fans on Sunday should be loud and vocal in showing Harley how much we appreciate him.
A Harlee Harlee chant wouldn't go astray

Mate, you have to fill a page, you got nothing - make it up, speculate or listen to gossip and recast it.
If it's good enough for the President, it's good enough for a sports media 'journalist' who is so low on the media totem pole they don't even qualify to report on the Kardashians, let alone the real news.

What Richmond have done we should have done at the end of 2021, gutted the list, got trades but the poor list management will cost us not just this year but another three. Carlton will miss the 8 and Hawthorn will make a Prelim, another shining example of terrible list management.

Hawthorn shafted us in the Barrass trade, there was no need to come crawling back to them.

Last draft we couldn't have done better , best draft for WC .
We needed depth and we seem to have achieved this .
We were a Boxshall away from a perfect draft.

The club will be ok.

If Plan A comes to fruition, we'll be laughing.

H.Reid re-signs, Ch.Warner trades in, B.Starcevic joins as RFA to play the defensive mid/tagger role to free up the aforementioned duo, and K.Briggs comes as RFA in 2026 as the club launches back into genuine contention.

Miss out on those additions and the club still has a heap of picks ready to go to the draft well with.

Should the worst happen and H.Reid wishes to leave, the compensation coming back will be massive - all it would do is delay what could end up actually being a higher ceiling across the whole squad.
I'll admit to missing some of the discussion here, but why is Briggs leaving GWS?

Geez watching Essenden play I think we should never never mention Prior as a potential recruiting target. He’s awful!
Was that Archer Reid’s twin playing for the Bombers?
F**k I think we got the better Reid

Older brother who has missed a lot of footy. Lack of awareness was an issue but you’d hope that goes as he plays more footy.

Should get the cheer squad to start it.

I doubt it’s Geelong, they will only be in the conversation this year if they bottom out and finish bottom 6 or SDK does take up the Suns reported option and they somehow get similar to what Richmond got for Rioli.

If he doesn’t sign this year it will be Essendon if ladder positions sort of hwo most expect. (Maybe Richmond but still don’t think he will go there)

Teams will need a player or the right draft assets to get him out while contracted and they know that. The issue is if the ‘no mail’ and speculation is true that he might be Gettable at the end of his contract and he isn’t signed by September what do we do, can’t have him come OOC and nominate a team without the right assets. We can’t do another 18 months of this speculation either.

As for Gavin Bell saying they are talking to his management, what else is he going to say? It’s the only answer he could give atm. Reading between the lines it didn’t sound positive at all that he or the club will be a closer to knowing if he is staying or leaving.
