A few on here were keen on Lindsay. He's has a cracking first half so far. 14 touches, 4 tackles
Extremely keen but he went too late for pick 3 and before both our traded in picks so don’t think he was ever attainable without a huge reach.

Draper on half way through the third. How many games will Bo take to equal or better however many disposals Draper ends up with?
I'm stating the obvious, but stats aren't everything, otherwise Jack Macrae, Matt Crouch, Tom Mitchell and Priddis are in the GOAT conversation. Just comparing disposals is not a good way of measuring player's overall impact

It's not a bad start.
I wouldn't mind any of those guys in the squad right now doing the bulk of the heavy lifting.

Said it in the game day thread but I'm assuming most have tapped out by now like the players have. If those dickheads in the drafting/recruiting/trading teams blow any more first rounders on ****ing flankers instead genuine midfielders, I will microwave Phil's ****ing pass to whore island.

****wits.

You make a fair point. But we have to work with what we have

True. Except we traded Pick 2 for a HBF and a HFF and Pick 3 for two HBF.

Not saying they'll be bad players but waves hands at the nothing we have between the 50m arcs with Tasmania entering the chat

Should have loaded up on the midfield and waited to draft the flankers with the worse first rounders we would have gotten naturally as we improve.

Like when we drafted Hurn and Duggan etc.

But now we're gonna get those types of first rounders because of Tasmania, with no midfield to build around.

Awesome.

Revise all offers tabled for Harley
Revising any offer for Harley just makes it 100% certainty that he leaves.

Whether Harley staying is in anyone's interest after what we just saw is a different discussion, but revising offers isn't going to get him to sign (if he would sign anyway).

Sharp if he continues his development this year is the perfect player for WCE to draft.
I sort of want to finish last just to make sure we can get him

Dunno how we make Warner happen in that case but dont really care

Any cha ce we can use our 4 first and second round picks on a quality ruck and 3 miss?
Like real midfielders not half back w***ers pretending to be mids?

I like to think I'm usually fairly optimistic, but after today you've almost got to ask the question of "what's the point?" for AFL in 2025.

Where to from here? Say WC has another horror year and wins the spoon again. The #1 draft pick will just be another Victorian kid again that the AFL media either says "don't pick him" or "When's he coming home?" if we do take the punt and odds are we'll lose them because we're that bad. Might as well just have recruiting zones like NRL because we're only allowed to draft WA players acording to AFL house.

No wonder I'm looking more forward to our AFLW season. We legitimately have the dirt worst midfield in the comp by a long looooong margin. Besides drafting Reid I cannot believe it hasn't been addressed once over the last three years.

Haven't had an above average ruck since Naitanui left. But it's ok. Let's keep splitting picks and helping other teams get what they want. God, we've turned into such simps.

I’m at the stage where I want full chaos and for us to just blow it up completely.

If Harley hasn’t re-signed by the end of this season, send him to Essendon for their first, the Dees first and their future first.

Let Oscar walk for Band One compo

Could go into the draft with two, three and Essendon and Melbourne’s firsts.

Ideally pick one and two though as I couldn’t think of a more perfect midfield prospect for us than Dyson Sharp.
