No way is Ryan worth pick 20-25. that's a high price for someone who has scored a career average of 1.3 goals per game.
I hope The Saints are stupid enough to pay that for someone who is past his peak.
"Only averages 1.3 goals per game"

1.4 goals per game is considered elite for small forwards

So, a F3 for Ryan? A pick that we can't use until next year? How about we get another season out of him, he walks in free agency and we get a better pick next year anyway as compensation?
He could also have more trouble with his hamstrings and will be a year older and not find that no one who wants him.
Trade him this year to get some value for him

I'd rather walk Ryan to the PSD, then take Brayden Ainsworth again with pick 1 in the ND.... Than let Ryan walk to Ross the Toss for a F3.

Kiss my taint Ross.

Who by ? .4 goals per game is a lot of missed shots for a elite small forward.

its 1.4 as in on average over 10 games he will have scored 14 goals

St Kilda cast a wide net trying to attract players and more took them up than they expected. Now they don't have the draft capital to make it all happen nor salary cap space.

That's why they're offering a near worthless F3 for Ryan (happy for this deal to fall through if WC reject it) & pushing their Captain out the door. I fully expect them to get shafted by Geelong for Marshal as well because they can't afford to keep him to his contract (both from a salary cap & also draft capital perspective).
I smell a salary dump from the Saints with Steel. A straight swap might get this done.

WCE
OUT: 17, 24, Ryan
IN: 8

STK
OUT: 8, 19 (GEEL 1R for Marshall)
IN: Flanders, Ryan, 37 (Fincher match)

GCS
OUT: Flanders, 37
IN: 17,19,24

Who’s calling SOS?

Bad business. Try again.

Do we think pick 56 will end up reaching a point where it has a points value? Just thinking if GCS, BL, Sydney, and Carlton all have picks used to match will that bring it up to a point where its pick 48/49 potentially? Hard to tell with all the FA compo etc I guess.

Duursma measuring in at 193 and clocking a pretty good 2km time has me very keen.
Excellent overhead, floats over the ground, good transition player. Think he suits the modern game and complements our existing guys very well. Add in his comments about him being happy to move to Perth and I wouldn't be giving essendon or anyone else a look in tbh

Now with Pattersons comments I'm I'm dreaming about the Duursma/patterson combo.

Is there a world where we grab 7 from GC and sharp drops to that pick? Probably not, pipe dream stuff, but Duursma/patterson/sharp; that would be a banger of a draft
Patterson a pipe dream :(
GC would be crazy to let him go, even if it means trading away future picks or going into points deficit. Sharp is a very realistic chance to be available at 7 I reckon.
