• Tylar Young (Richmond) arrived at West Coast in exchange for Pick 38.
• Deven Robertson (Brisbane) has agreed to join West Coast and will be signed on to the rookie list after being delisted by Brisbane

Out:

• Oscar Allen joins Brisbane as a FA - West Coast receive Pick 2 as compensation
• Liam Ryan and a 2027 R3 pick has been traded to St Kilda for a 2026 R2 pick
• Campbell Chesser has been traded to Carlton for Pick 41
• Jayden Hunt announces retirement
• Jack Petruccelle, Callum Jamieson and Loch Rawlinson not offered new contracts

I'd say Patterson is more talented but more of an outside player and Uwland is more inside but looks a little small.

Don't get too excited, Clarke was shown on camera talking to the GC team an hour or so ago, still potential for something crazy to happen

If the Eagles did these sort of deals this with Gaff, and other late 20's early 30's players.. trading them while they still had value, it would have sped up the rebuild significantly.

The gap in points between 1 and 2 vs 3 and 4 pre discount is worth pick 10.

It really would be silly if we don't find a way to use that to our advantage in any way, but with GC's F1 reportedly gone to melb it's hard to see what that could be.

I think it’s very unlikely that Gold Coast don’t match bids for Uwland and Patterson and despite some rather odd trades in the past they have proven themselves to be very adept at collating the points needed to match bids

So I doubt we get Patterson

But by trading out 7 and 8 with only 24 coming back as is being suggested, they’re leaving themselves vulnerable. Especially if we lodge bids with picks 1 and 2

Suns will have a plan - they can afford to sell their F1 as the academy prospect is only looking around R2 prospect. Plus they will have more players wanting Melbourne next year that will generate high picks

Think gc will be fine for points. Keep in mind that even if they look short initially, they'll split 15 and 18 as soon as the drafts starts for more points, and matching a pick 1 bid will chew up a bunch of picks, which reels in their remaining ones and makes them worth more.

It depends if Melbourne are paying any of his salary.

For GC yeah it's probably worth it. I'm not sure for a more established and successful club it would be.

Yep. They will have 3 players in Rowell, Anderson and Petracca who are top-10 in the competition level when on song. And plenty of other good players too. Dimma pushing all his chips into the middle.

They can't match and secure Uwland as well.

If bids come at 3/Uwland, 6/Patterson, 24/Addinsall, 30/Murray that's 4912 points less 10% 400 points discount for 1st round.
4500 points doesn't get them all them 4.
Probably leaves 1 on the table, they either bring in some futures to make it happen or leave 1 on the table?
