Current Draft Picks:
Round 1: 1, 2, 13

Round 3: 53, 58 (These picks are in excess of available list spots so will be forfeited if we don’t consolidate our 2025 picks up the order or trade some for future picks)

List Spots Available (39 of 48):
• Main list (33 of 38) - 5* (in: Starcevich, Young out: Allen, Ryan, Chesser, Hunt, Petruccelle, Jamieson)
• Cat A rookie list (5 of 8) - 3* (in: Robertson (pending), out: Rawlinson)
• Cat B rookie list (1 of 2) - 2 (out: Livingstone)

* Based on Dewar being upgraded after the maximum 3 years on the rookie list. Hutchinson may also have been upgraded but this isn’t confirmed - if it is we will have 4 main and 4 rookie list spots open

I'd rather split for Melbourne's 7 & 8 than Essendon's 5 & 6

Well Done Reaction GIF

So does Ah Chee

A) Re-sign with Lions

B) Enter the National Draft and hope he lasts to Crows (He won't)

C) Enter the PSD and hope he lasts to the Crows (He won't)

Let's offer him a very very very attractive contract offer.

He's essentially a free hit if we can turn his head.
Get Starcevich on the horn to him.

I know AFL clubs like to keep good relationships with each other but I'll be pretty annoyed if all the clubs below the Crom just agree not to match their contract offer to Ah Chee. There are definitely clubs like us that have plenty of cap space to easily match any contract offer.

Amazing that Merrett is stuck at Essendon.

Gotta give our boys at tbe Bombers credit - they have definitely put pride first and valued sticking it to the Hawks more than a golden chance to cash in a wantaway 30 year old when they are staring right down the barrel of a rebuild.

They'll all be jobless in 12 months.

optics aside, Essendon were a bit silly for not taking the deal

Carlton have done well.
Melbourne have done well.
I think we did well.
St Kilda went… hard, very hard. If they don’t get it right they’ll be where we are now in 2030.

Hawthorn and Essendon have both self owned. Gold Coast have also had a mare.

The problem for gc is you can only bring in the amount of picks u have list spots for so they actually have less and moving their picks backwards is unlikely as a result. They need to consolidate their lower picks into a higher pick this time.

Pato a legit chance I doubt gc want to be in such a huge deficit next year.
I think they do have the spots and they will do hybrid trades e.g
Possible trade with North.

Merrett 30 years of age , Essendon didn't trade , bad blood between Hawks and Essendon must be very real .
