Good to see guns that played 7 games like Adam Cockie are acknowledged.

What should they be wearing?
Should they be forced to wear surf wear?
Or stubbies and a singlets?

Such an antiquated thing to say - they can wear whatever they want.
To be honest they do looks like 1970s english gansters so yes quite antiquated

Can’t have been that hard a decision, they seemed to have made it months ago.

Catching up with him after he’s already been cut? Classy.

Im sure they spoke to him before now buddy.

Maybe they are catching up with him to discuss potential roles at the club should he stay in Perth. Remember what Nic said, Nisbitt makes the effort to look after players post retirement.

No player likes retirement especially when they feel they have óne year left'.

And most fell they have one more year left.
Rick Charlsworth wrote in his book, when confronted with tough selection decisions you ignore youth at your peril.

I am shocked. Absolutely shocked that Andrew Williams played 84 games.

He played a few for Collingwood didn't he? Might have cracked 100 even

No point trying to engage with them about this subject, they seem to be somewhat in a state of hysteria about it (to put it mildly) 😂
Just sit back and laugh, it’s entertaining at least!

Ric certainly made sure that he paid plenty of attention to the youth in his reign with the Aussie women's hockey teams.

Honestly gutted about Venners. Was so happy when the club recruited a high ceiling type of player rather than the generic vanilla picks we saw for so many years. Showed genuine promise in both the WAFL and AFL and has a premiership medal to show for his efforts.

Thanks Dan

Venables will not be offered a contract for next season. Really tough on the young fella as he could have had a great career given what we had seen of him. Hoping he recovers fully and can live a life free of any complications from his head knocks

Not entirely correct. He has been delisted but asked/ offered to continue training with the potential to be redrafted in the SPP period. The club has stated they will do whatever they can to help him recover and rejoin the list should he be medically cleared.

This was coming for 12 months.

It shouldn't be a shock to anyone. Plus he can still train with us for a SPP spot.

When Venables comes out and announces he is retiring, well then that will be a sad day for the kid.

Fingers crossed he makes it back. :thumbsu: :thumbsu:
Bro so much conflicting news about him
