It’s gotten to the point where you could swear it’s a form of reverse-trolling to make conspiracy theorists look even worse.

Not sure that is possible.

But it needs to be remembered that, after a slow start due to supply issues Australia now has one of the highest vaccination rates in the world and the number of people refusing to get vaccinated for whatever reason represent a very small % of the population.

So while the several thousand idiots gathered in Melbourne's CBD on the weekend, with their nooses, swastikas, Trump pictures and unintelligible signs is disturbing imagery it needs to be remembered that they are the idiot fringe of society representing just a small fraction of the population.

It's important to bear that in mind, including in this thread.

I have been somewhat confused by Israel's vaccine position seeing how quickly they single vaxxed and double vaxxed their population to 30 June this year, were out in front of the world and then it became a trickle for a couple of months, yet its relatively low total population double vaxxed rate and a 3rd dose started in August.

There isn't a lot of stuff online in English, I know they have a large U/16 population 29.6% vs Oz's 19.8%, and wondered if Arab/Palestinian Israelis were receiving lower rates of vaccination than others.

Last night, I think I worked out what has been going on. According to Israel's Central Bureau of Statistics, from document 2.3 Population, by Population Group, Religion, Sex and Age, says that

their population at end of 2020 was 9.2151 mil, the under 12 population was 2.1230 mil or 23.04% and under 16 was 2.7341 mil or 29.68% so approx 611k are between 12.00 and 15.99 years of age.

Oz's under 12 population is 3.8 mil or 14.8% and under 16 is 5.1 mil or 19.8%.

So before 12-15.99 year olds were allowed to be vaccinated the max % of Israel's total population that could be vaccinated was 70.32%. Figures of around 60% single/ double vaxxed were reported at end of June.

I found this document from the Lancet that looked at Israel's situation to 31 July 2021, that said Ultra Orthodox Jews under 50 had low vaccination rates of 50-60%, of the 4 population groups classified - General Jewish, Ultra Orthodox Jewish, Mixed and Arab in a table in the article.

At end of July 2021, Arab Israelis weren't missing out which answered that question, so I kept digging. Palestine / the Gaza Strip residents is another issue. About only 30% of these residents have received 1 dose and a bit more than a 1/4 of the population have received 2 doses.

What this reminded me of, is that given not all countries have approved 12-15.99 year olds getting the vaccine, and very few had by 30 June, and for only a few weeks, back then, so in those countries with a classic pyramid population distribution that is, very thin at the top, and broadest at the bottom, with the 0-4.99 years, 5-9.99 years and 10-14.99 year brackets having the biggest percentage of population in those 5 year brackets, these countries will have low total population vaxxed rates compared to most western countries, where the median age is approaching 40, low birth rates and the pyramid starts to turn into a diamond shape around the 30-34.99 years bracket, rather than stay a pyramid shape to the 0-4.99 years bracket at the bottom.

Most of these countries that have this classic pyramid population distribution are also developing nations and many of these countries don't have huge access to vaccines, so that will also mean they have low total population vaxxed figures. So a double vaxxed 50% - 60% of total population shouldn't be seen as a bad thing, but is quite reasonable in these countries given their lack of access to vaccines and their age distribution.

The Israeli government vaccine website converted to English by google, has these 2 charts, of many, in their dashboard of covid stats. It shows how many people have received their 1st, 2nd and 3rd doses and by age group.

The Jews and Arabs write right to left, so the scroll bar is on the left not right and is very faint. That confused me for awhile.

So 6.257mil of 9.215mil people have had 1 jab = 67.9%, or given the population 12+ is 7.092mil that's 88.2% of the eligible population. [Oz is at 76.1% of total population and 89.5% of 12+ eligible population for 1 jab]

Double vaxxed is 62.5% of total population and 81.1% of the eligible population. [Oz is at 69.5% of total population and 81.7% of 12+ eligible population for 2 jabs]

Triple Vaxxed is 43.6% of total population and 56.7% of the eligible population. Only 260,638 Australians over 16 have received a 3rd jab, which is just over 1% of the population.

See the light grey scroll bar on the left of both graphics.

I regularly check this Financial Times Covid site - as its coronavirus coverage is free and unlike the Bloomberg site you can hide (or unhide) small countries and territories with less than 200,000 people.

This chart makes it look like Israel has a highly vaccinated total doses when you sort by Total jabs per 100 residents, sitting at 7th position.

1636957444591.png

However when you sort by % of total population who have had at least 1 dose they slip way down the table and sit around these nations listed below. They are ranked 51st not 7th like above ( although China and Qatar don't have data separating first and double vaxxed stats which probably means 53rd). They are surrounded by other developed OECD / G20 countries and developing countries that have a large U/16 population and that classic pyramid population distribution shape.

Further down the page there is a Vaccine roll out graph and you can choose up to 7 countries to compare. For this purposes I chose the 5 Eyes English speaking countries and Israel and Chile who have had the highest booster 3rd dose roll out.

You can see the kink that Israel had post August when they went close to getting 85% of the over 16's, as the the 12-15.99 year olds started in late May and then August the 3rd doses were introduced. Chile started 3rd doses about 3 or 4 weeks after Israel but their progress was steadier from the start to now and they have a smaller under 12 population than Israel and have been steadier with their roll out.

Chile's population is 19.11mil, 16.4mil single doses (87%), 15.4mil double doses (82%) and 7.2mil (37%) have received the 3rd dose. They have about 2.8mil kids under 12 (14.6% in line with Oz) so looks like a small amount of them have been vaccinated.

Australia and NZ have had a similar roll out rate since April and similar to Canada's since July but lagging by about 8 weeks. Although Canada slowed down post August as are Oz and NZ starting to do, so it will be interesting to see if its at a similar rate. You can see the kink in the UK graph in October which is the booster doses starting up.

Its nifty if you click on First doses or Fully vaccinated box below, rather than Total doses, (or Daily rather than Cumulative) to see how high some of the peaks of other nations have been and how quick the drop off has been over time.

I have compared the Scandi against each other and there is a European Union and a G7 graph data, and some Asian nations as well as South american nations for benchmarking

The default graph is Israel, Canada, China, UK, USA, India and European Union

This Bloomberg Vaccine site is now showing stats for almost 50 countries who have introduced the 3rd dose.

Canada has given 819k 3rd doses and that's about 2.5% of their total population, but Bloomberg doesn't show those stats. So who knows how many other countries who have started 3rd doses but stats aren't included in their site.

Cuba, China, Qatar, Maldives, Bahrain, and Seychelles are other obvious ones from the top 20 list when sorted by doses per 100 people that have started a 3rd dose roll out program, but no stats are shown by Bloomberg.

As soon as you wrote in your previous post “the spike proteins that are in these jabs…..”
it became clear you had no understanding of how the vaccines work.
There are in fact no spike proteins in the vaccine, there is some messenger RNA encapsulated in lipid.
And you want us to believe you read and understood that onerous document enough to take your statement as fact?

Mmmm…as Gobbledygook would say, No deal.
The MRNA has a specific genetic code that instructs your cells to make the spike protein. Viral vector gene therapies deliver the spike proteins in a attenuated virus particle like the adenovirus. I understand the concept, you‘re just being cute with words. The fact is both the MRNA & Viral Vector jabs are spike protein delivery systems. They are bioengineered through gain of function research, which make them a bioweapon.

How fascinating.

So it is extremely nuanced to compare different countries.

No wonder the supposedly very highly vaccinated Israel started to fall in a bit of a hole to the consternation of the rest of us.

Also, one has to wonder how accurate census numbers of actual population stats are with movement of people between countries and states and how much effect the type of vaccine administered has on outcomes.
To be sure not all of the vaccines would have been kept at the temperatures required in all situations for various reasons.

Glad you have now looked up how a vaccine works rather than copy and pasting something from Telegram…at least that’s a start.
With the stuff you spew you could at least attempt to get your facts right but that might stand in the way of your hysterics.

What’s hysterical about calling the spike protein a toxin & a bioweapon? Do you think the Spike protein is naturally occurring, or manufactured?

The spike protein is produced in our own body once the MRNA is injected.
Saying we ( nefarious actors) are producing a bioweapon which will likley kill or injure us is histrionic.

At least 14 local government areas in South Australia are yet to reach 70 per cent double-dose vaccination, just a week away from the state reopening its borders. The latest federal government LGA vaccination data, correct as of Sunday, shows the Adelaide Plains currently has the state’s lowest recorded vaccination rate with just 59.9 per cent of over-16s in the area double-dosed.

Meanwhile, the northern suburbs of Playford and Salisbury are at 60.8 per cent and 67.9 per cent fully vaccinated respectively. Statewide, 74.1 per cent of the over-16s population is fully vaccinated while 85.4 per cent have had at least one jab. Currently, 41 South Australian LGAs with vaccination data are yet to pass the 80 per cent double-dose mark, of which 14 are only between 59 and 70 per cent fully vaccinated.

Playford and Salisbury – which have a combined over-15s population of nearly 190,000 people – both recorded their lowest percentage point increase in first dose vaccination since LGA-specific data was first published on August 27. The percentage of people in Playford to come forward for their first dose last week only grew three percentage points to 77.3 per cent. Salisbury recorded an even lower growth in first dose percentage, increasing 2.3 points to reach 81.8 per cent.

Chief public health officer Nicola Spurrier yesterday said she was “very concerned for those particular suburbs”. SA Health CEO Dr Chris McGowan told parliament’s budget and finance committee on Monday that rates in the northern suburbs were “slowly coming up”.

I am getting concerned about that November 23 deadline in SA. We should be opening up to all of Australia except Victoria and the Vic/ SA border restrictions should not be lifted until the numbers in Victoria fall as they have done in NSW. To quote the headline in today's Monopoly Times Marshll's roadmap is as 'clear as mud' as it has over 30 different scenarios for home quarantine.

Another interesting stat is that the average age of children infected by COVID in Australia is 6 years of age. Vaccines have not yet been approved in Australia to cover this age band and they will not be available until 2022. As a consequence schools are likely to be a major source of super spreader events. Maybe rapid antigen testing should be made available in schools for all children who show COVID symptoms? Of course there would be anti vaxxers who refuse to allow their child to be tested- but test them anyway.

On the AFL front, Levi Casboult, who has been looking to go to the Gold Coast, has refused the Pfitzer and Moderna vaccines and is waiting on the Novavax vaccine to become available in Australia. Levi has until the 18th February to be fully vaccinated and NOVAX has just resumed production in the US after significant production delays so maybe Levi's days in the AFL are numbered?

Should move the deadline back then, look what has happened overseas with less than optimum vax rates.

Really has gone too far

Disturbing footage has emerged of a blow-up replica of Daniel Andrews being thrown on to a makeshift gallows. The incident, seen by the Herald Sun, is understood to have been filmed overnight, as dozens of rowdy protesters staged a week-long camp-out on the steps of parliament.

The protesters could be heard jeering and chanting “Kill Dan”, while others cheered and laughed as music was played in the background.
