Haha, I thought about that as I posted it, because I sure as sh*t don't trust ScoMo. I should have said I largely trust our democratic systems are robust enough to ensure things like national health are handled with the greater good in mind.

‘considering that for the best part of 10 months the federal coalition when asked about strategy they’ve Said ‘we’ll get the vaccine, just wait and see’ I can’t see them tempering that message with any safety concerns honestly

but to be blunt, while we have next to eradicated it, we do have choices

So the Vic government have placed the onus of collecting details for tracing in the hands of businesses, fair enough.
Then they launch their new QR code system.
It gives businesses a barcode , but absolutely zero verification as to whether the system has worked, unless you stand over each customer or visitor as they put their details into their phone app. Privacy and all, ( even though watching them put their info into the app voids that ).
Surely they could at least have something that said. : Acme Explosives : 01/12/20 : 15 Visitors recorded .
That way , if worksafe came a knocking you could at least prove you are doing the right thing.

For example , if a bar had a slackarse at the door , how would management know if he was not asking customers to scan in?

Ultimate role reversal.

If moved this week's match should be played at Docklands akin to how Victorian teams never played home games against Brisbane at the Gabba.
Collingwood are due to host Brisbane later this year so they could make this week Collingwood's home game, making the later one Brisbane's. Then it could be played at the G.

Typical AFL doing anything to prevent Collingwood from having to leave the state

Exactly.

deskc has the right to refuse the vaccine. hes not going to be put in jail for it.

at the same time, quantas has the right to refuse to serve him based on how they want to run their business, which is that they do not want to take the health risk of transporting un-vaccinated passengers.

deskc is just the classic right wing nutjob who thinks that having rights means the ability to do whatever you want or make whatever choices you want, without those actions/choices having any reaction or consequence.

You do the wrong thing by society you eventually get penalised in one form or another.

Sydney Stack just worked that out now he has a criminal record. His post retirement international music ambissions were just revoked because of two silly descisions.

Swap fixtures with the Pies. We have the Dogs in Ballarat the week after then should be all sweet to head home. Easy situation, only problem would be is trying to get other squad members down south.
Then Brisbane would get the last 4 games of the season at home, not exactly fair. Given Brisbane's advantages last season the game should be played at Marvel IMO.

To be fairer fair, Lions should be forced to play all future games on a modified Aircraft carrier somewhere in the Indian ocean.

Bemused to hear the lions are scrambling to find recovery and other facilities. Surely the AFL would be prepared for a club needing to stay over. Could do something at Albert park for example

We are simply paying the price for having the audacity to have a Queensland hub last year. This will teach us some hubris.

The return home game is scheduled for Marvel Stadium anyway, its one of the 3 games we have to play there.

Yeah they should just switch the fixtures now with the lockdown, that’s an easy simple solution for the moment. Brisbane only play Melbourne teams the next 4 weeks, that is a very lucky fixture that won’t require any changes and allows the Lions to hub for a month in Melbourne if needed
