My aim is just to try and get names out there and give you a bit of information about the players available. Hopefully there is not any errors I have missed.

Enjoy.

Round 1

1. GWS : Lachie Whitfield
Position : Midifeld
Height:185cm

The obvious choice for the first pick in the draft. Inside game is not as good as you would like but this will improve as he develops at a AFL club. Skills are sharp by both hand and foot, He has a great tank and has quite a good footy brain. He is quick and also capable of playing a role up forward to a good extent. Also uses his body well in contests, Cannot see him being overlooked here.

2. Gold Coast : Jimmy Toumpas
Position : Utility
Height : 183cm

For mine he is easily top 3, Great talent who can play anywhere to a fairly good extent. I personally love seeing him dashing along the wing and delivering the ball to the leading forward with ease. Skills are great but what I like most about him would be his ability to explode away from congestion. Had a minor hip problem during the u18 champs but still put on a show.

3. Melbourne: Jack Viney
Position: Midfield
Height: 179cm

Gun inside midfielder and really sets the standard for attack on the ball. Kicking is mostly good but he will only use his right foot when he really needs to. Gets plenty of the ball and uses it well, not the biggest kick but seems to be able to unload them is high intensity game which is good. Should test nicely, Melbourne have a good young player on their hands. Going to come out better off losing Scully IMO.

4. Melbourne: Dayle Garlett
Position: Forward/Midfielder
Height: 181cm

Outside midfielder/ small forward who can light up the field with his pace and his ability to make the best decision under any amount of pressure. He takes the game on as often as he possibly can. He really does hurt the opposition with his penetration and ability to pinpoint passes. Think he would fit in nicely at Richmond.

5. Western Bulldogs: Sam Mayes
Position: Midfield/Forward
Height: 188cm

Not long ago I would have said he was a lead up forward now I would say he is a midfielder. He is superb overhead and is a seriously good kick, rarely misses a shot for goal. He would probably be the best kick in this year’s crop. Will take a bit of time to further develop his midfield game. Would not surprise me to see him play early on, forbidding injury.

6. Western Bulldogs: Tom Clurey
Position: KPD
Height: 193cm

Big strong boy who can dispose of the ball very well, Usually makes good decision but has the often brain fade when under pressure. Had a decent champs and competed well against his opponent. Knows when to mark it which is great and likes to take the game on when he has the chance.

7. Port Adelaide: Jackson Macrae
Position: Forward/Midfield
Height: 188cm

This guy played pretty well in the u18 champs and really has come into conclusion for a top 15 pick, Very good outside player with the ability to nail 60m kicks. Really does hurt the opposition, Enjoys going forward for a goal or two. Has good speed and the evasiveness to go with it. A bit like Jared Polec but with a better defensive game.

8. Brisbane Lions: Oliver Wines
Position: Midfield
Height: 185cm

Great in and under midfielder with nice skills to top it off. Great at winning clearances and I have no doubt that’s what he will be known for at the next level. Could develop into a very important cog into the midfield that selects him. He is a good tackler and his endurance is top notch, could very well have the biggest tank in the draft.

9. Richmond: Johnathan O’Rourke
Position: Midfielder
Height:183cm

Missed a fair bit of footy last year and is a very good inside player, especially around clearances. Has magnificent hands and is very smart, He finds space and leads by example.
Needs to bulk up a bit in the gym. Makes good decision under pressure and should go top 10.

10. Essendon: Joe Daniher
Position:KPF
Height:202cm

I’d have him top 5 if he was not a F/S. Very good contested mark, has the skills to go with it and the way he positions himself when going to take a mark it makes it very hard for the defender to spoil him. Expect him to play mostly as a forward at AFL level.

11. Carlton: Jake Stringer
Position: Utility
Height:191cm

Would have had him in in top 3 if he didn’t injure his leg, it actually surprised a few of us that he is even playing. As you would expect he is still not at his best but he is being managed which is great. Has the ability to change the game wherever he plays, He is truly magnificent at his best. Speed, Endurance, Skills, Size, Strong mark and super aware of what’s around him. The obvious comparison would be Pavlich.

12. St Kilda: Brodie Grundy
Position: Ruck
Height: 203cm

By now most of you are probably thinking that I have forgotten him, well I certainly haven’t. He is very athletic and has a gigantic jump on him; His ground work is outstanding for a player of his size. He really works hard and is a very good contested mark. He has the ability to pinch hit up forward when needed. He is more physically developed than most other junior ruckman which will only be a bonus for whichever tem selects him. His skills by hand and foot are good for his size. I might be underrating him here; he could very well go top 2.

13. Melbourne: Kristan Jaksch
Position: KPF
Height:194cm

If they use their picks wisely, these guys will have a seriously good draft. Might have him a bit to early but it would not surprise me if he was a bolter when we get closer to draft day. Very good at leading into space and breaks away from the opposition defender. Someone mentioned he takes to many marks on his second attempt, and they are right. Jaksch will need to improve this at the next level. He has a very nice kick on him and certainly gives second efforts which is what many young KPF’s lack when they get drafted to a club.

14. North Melbourne: Same Colquhoun
Position: Defence
Height 181cm

Has risen up the rankings and is a chance to get taken in the second round, Great kick and gets plenty of the ball on the back flank. Great decision maker and really sets his team up with his kicking ability. Works very hard on ground level and has a very good rebounding game.

15. Fremantle: Lachlan Plowman

Position: KPD
Height:191cm

I probably rate him higher than most others but I really like the way he can have an impact down in defence by out reading the play better than his opponent or being able to make the hard decision on whether to go for the mark or the spoil. Using the ball nicely and is really offensive for a KPD. He didn’t play during the u18 champs.

16. Geelong: Matthew Haynes
Position: Midfielder
Height: 190cm

Due to an interrupted year he has slipped down the ranking a bit, Don’t be surprised if he gets taken in the top 15. He is a tall outside midfielder with good pace, good skills and the tank to match it which really helps him get lots of the ball. Will need to spend a fair bit of time bulking up in the gym but is a great prospect nonetheless.

17. West Coast: Ben Kennedy
Position: small forward/ Midfielder
Height: 173cm

This young guy has very good skills and can kick goals. He is a SA lad capable doing loads of dame up forward or in the midfield. He will no doubt be criticized for his height but he actually uses his height to his advantage. I’m fairly sure he has a history of concussion which could make some clubs overlook him.

18. Collingwood:Marco Paparone

Position: KPF
Height: 193cm

Unsure on where to put him. There is a bit of talk suggesting he won't become a power forward, I'd like to disagree with this and say that with a bit of work he certainly could become one.He is an athletic KPF who has a very good tank and competes well at ground level. He pushes up the ground and usually makes good decisions. He is one of those players who will consistently give second and third efforts, however his kicking for goal does need some work.

19. Sydney: Sam Lowrie
Position: Midifeld/Forward
Height:187cm

He can play both inside and out and can go up forward and kick goals. He has a mature body and barring injury he should be able to come in from round 1 and make an impact. Loves to run with the ball in his hands and set up goals. A good decision maker, with good skills.

20. Adelaide: Troy Menzel

Position: Forward/Midfield
Height: 187cm

Really did put on a spectacular show during the u18 champs. Certainly hasn’t lost anything ability from his knee surgery, and unless he injures it before draft day clubs won’t bother to notice that he had it. Great speed and endurance not to mention he has the skills and decision making to match it! He is a great mark and usually converts from opportunities.
Will probably end up as a Forward at AFL level.

21. Hawthorn:Josh Simpson
Position:Midfield
Height: 185cm

Outside midfielder who can push up forward and score goals. Accelerates from packs, makes good decisions and is and is a very neat kick of the footy. Very smart player who finds space, Inside game has come along but will need to keep working on it.

22. GWS: Liam McBean

Position: Utility???
Height: 202cm

I was used to seeing him play a Ruck/ KPF role but he has now been playing as a CHB. He has still been playing good footy down there. I still rate him very highly and feel he is the type of player Freo would benefit from. Personally I look at is as another ‘string to his bow’ . He competes well at ground level and has nice skills. Really intrigued by him and I will follow him closely.

23. Brisbane Lions: Tanner Smith
Position: KPD
Height: 194cm

Very good in 1V1 contests and does not give his man an inch of space. Very good spoiler but needs to further improve his kicking and rebounding. He does have a good tank and above average speed for a KPD. He reads the play well and takes a lot of uncontested marks by intercepting his opponent. Fills a gap in our list as well.

Round 2

24. GWS: Shannon Taylor
Position: Forward/Midfield
Height: 177cm

When I seen him he reminded me a bit of Josh Green, He has blistering pace and agility and is usually a good kick. He can make some bad decision at time and often does not realize how much time he has. He is working on his endurance and if he gets that to a good level I don’t see any reason why he can’t become a seriously good midfielder at the next level.

25. Gold Coast: Alex Howson
Position: KPD
Height 195cm

This guy has really came a long way. Most thought of him as a forward but has made the switch to a key defender. He makes good decisions and uses the ball very well, and competes well at ground level. Don’t be surprised if he bolts as we get closer to the draft.

26. Melbourne: Nick Vlastuin
Position: Midfield
Height: 187cm

A strong, big bodied inside midfielder who gets loads of clearances and uses the ball well. He makes good quick decisions and shows plenty of leadership. He had good endurance and tackles hard. He is consistent and should be able to come in and have an impact from round one. Will probably go higher in the real draft.

27. Western Bulldogs: Mason Shaw

Position: Forward
Height: 197cm

Probably would have been the best KPF coming into this years draft but has slipped down the rankings and is looking like more of a early/mid second round draft pick. Needs to work on getting more of the ball to become an elite KPF at the next level. Has a very good year last in 2011 kicking 66 Goals with the colts which is a great return especially considering he was 17. Great contested mark, who has a presence about him. Reliable kick for goal and can kick goals from a limited amount of opportunities.

28. Port Adelaide: Nathan Hrovat
Position: Midfielder
Height:173cm

Big time ball winner who excels in clearances and is a superb tackler. He will no doubt be criticised for his height but he is just a littler terrier. He has above average speed and has a very good tank. Skills are sharp and makes good decisions. He does not back out of a contest and is super aggressive in packs when he is trying to get the ball.

29. Richmond: Matthew McDonough
Position: Forward
Height 182cm

He is a lead up forward who is a very strong contested mark, He is actually one of my favourite players in this draft. He has strength and usually gets the better of his opponent in 1V1 contests. He has good skills and is a very good kick. I think he will develop into a very good half forward.

30. Brisbane Lions: Tim O’Brien
Position: KPF
Height:193cm

O’Brien is a very strong contested mark, He reads the flight of the ball in the air well and is a good kick for goal. He makes good decisions and is a decent field kick. His ground work is sublime for a tall forward and applies lots of forward pressure. He is one to keep an eye on as we get closer to the draft.

31. Richmond: Paul Marschall
Position: Defender
Height: 187cm

His ball use and decision making coming out of defence are sublime, He is arguably the best player at Central District (sanfl league). He tackles well and he is a good rebounding player. I know doubt have him way too high and will change this later on.

32. Essendon: Leigh Osborne
Position: Defender
Height 185cm

I have most of my mature aged boys to high in my mock draft. He is a wonderful kick and really sets up his teammates with his run from the backline, I feel this is something a club like Essendon is lacking. He would probably be able to push up and play as a midfielder if needed.

33. Carlton: Tim Broomhead
Position:Forward/Midfield
Height: 183cm

He can pretty much play anywhere to a fair extent but he really stands out as Forward flank who can push up into the midfield. His skills are neat and is a very good mark overhead. His tank is good and he gives second and third efforts. It’s possible he could push into the top 25.

34. St Kilda: Jason Pongracic
Position: Midfield
Height 184cm

His attack on the ball is first class, he is just a real competitive beast. His strength is also a feature of his game, He wins lots of the contested ball and uses it well. He has had a couple of injuries this year but has not lost any talent. When he returned from injury the managed him well and played him up forward for a while and he showed his versatility. Will be able to come in from round 1.

35. North Melbourne: Nathan Wright
Position: Midifelder/Defender
Height: 183cm

He has had a fair few injury problems but he came back in the champs and player pretty well. He is very underrated on here and should be able to push top 20. He has shown enough to suggest he could become a midfielder but usually plays HBF. His run and carry is good and sets his teammates up down field.

36. Fremantle: Tom Lee
Position: KPF
Height: 193cm

He would have to be the best key forward going around in the State Leauges. He has settled as a key forward and now looks like that he will be taken in the ND. He would be good as a second tall forward, and I think he would really help a club like Freo while they still have guys like Pavlich and Sandilands around.

37. Geelong: Matt Wallis
Position: Defender
Height:192cm

Promising young defender who played well in the champs for SA. He is very good when it comes to one on one and can play tall or small, I prefer him as a tall due to his ability to play in front of his opponent and his spoiling ability. I’d say he will be taken in-between picks 25 – 45.

38. West Coast: Tom Temay
Position: Defender
Height:179cm

A halfback flanker who gets plenty of the ball and disposes of the ball quite well. His kicking is solid and he makes good decisions. He can push up and play as an outside midfielder, He can shut opposition players out of the game.

39. Collingwood: Steven Baldasso
Position: Midfielder
Height:183cm

Probably should have him higher than this. Baldasso has slipped under the radar which is a bit surprising. Heis a very good kick and can run all day, he has great awareness and good evasive ability. He has the ability to play inside or out and push up to the forward line and kick a goal or 2.

40. Sydney: Nick Rodda
Position: KPD
Height:195cm

He has been good for WA at full back and could come in and play a few games next year. He has certainly stepped up this year. Has really impressed me this year and is looking like a really good chance to be taken in the top 35.

41. Adelaide: Kyle Martin
Position: Forward/ Midfielder
Height: 183cm

A big bodied midfielder from the VFL, He gets loads of the ball and usually disposes of it well. He is very good in contested situations and wins plenty of clearances, He is also a very good tackler. Personally feel he would certainly be able to add something either in the midfield or up forward.

42. Hawthorn: Dean Kent
Position: Midfielder
Height: 176cm

A small midfielder who probably should have made the WA squad, I was surprised when he missed out. He gets plenty of the ball and gets good clearance numbers. His skills are good but needs to give more second and third efforts to consistently play at AFL level.

Round 3

43. GWS: Taylor Garner
Position: Forward/Midfield
Height: 186cm

I’m unsure about where to put Garner, I rate him somewhere between pick 30-45.
He is a lead up forward and is a very strong contested mark. He is quicker than people give him credit for and can go and play a role in the midfield. His kicking is usually good but it is his decision making that tends to let him down. He will need to spend a good preseason in the gym.

44. Gold Coast: Adam Carter
Position: Midfielder/Defender
Height: 179cm

Carter is one I probably don’t rate as high as some of the others but he certainly has the potential to develop into a very good midfielder. He spends most of his time playing as a small defender capable of either playing a pure shutdown role or an attacking role. He is a very good kick and generally makes the right decisions. He could end up becoming a midfielder as he attacks the ball hard and wins a lot of the contested footy.

45. Melbourne: Dean Towers
Position: Midfield
Height: 189cm

A mature age player from North Ballart, He is a tall athletic midfield which will certainly impress recruiters. He is also very quick and has the foot skills to match. He can also play of the HBF or the HFF. He makes very good decisions and is very dangerous up forward.

46. Western Bulldogs: Emmanuel Irra
Position: Defender
Height 179cm

I think the majority of us are unsure on where to place him. Don’t worry about how he performed in the champs, he is one of the most interesting players in this draft. His speed is first class and his kicking is up there with just about anyone’s in the AFL today. He provides a good rebounding option from the bank flank and I think the dogs will take a punt. Having said that he might not even get taken in the ND or at all.

47. Western Bulldogs: Sean Lynch
Position: Midfield
Height: 185cm

An outside midfielder who has good pace and a good skill set. He can play off the half back flank but I like him better on the wing as he can sometimes be a bit of a liability down back. His u18 champs were good and should see him go higher than this.

48. Port Adelaide: Jacob Ballard
Position: Midifelder/Defender
Height: 186cm

He was very good in the champs which should see him rise up the rankings, Gets plenty of the ball and uses it well, he also has a good tank. I think he would slot straight into a team like ports line up and make an impact. Probably a bit underrated.

49. Brisbane Lions: Jake Calvert
Position: KPF
Height: 195cm

At 19 Calvert has really came on this year and should be taken at around this mark or earlier. His contested marking is fantastic and he is very accurate when kicking for goal. His skills and ground work are good for someone his size. Can play as a second ruck but I’m not too sure if he will bring that along with him in AFL. Will be interested to see where he goes come draft day.

50. Richmond: Jesse Lonergan
Position: Midfield
Height: 186cm

Lonergan would easily be the best Tasmanian available in this draft. He is an inside player who racks up the contested ball and is good in the clearances. His skills and decision making are good but he will need to develop his outside game.

51. Essendon: Nick Amato
Position: Midfielder
Height: 176cm

Very underrated and will most likely go higher than this. His skills are usually quite well but decision making can let him down at times. He wins a lot of the footy and also wins a fair bit of it contested. His endurance is worth noting and he constantly give second and third efforts.

52. Carlton: Brodie Murdoch
Position: KPF
Height: 187cm

He will probably be a third tall at the next level, He is a very good mark and reminds me of Crameri from Essendon. He is certainly a capable goal kicker and is generally quite accurate. I think he would fit right in at Carlton.

53. St Kilda: Tyler Blake
Position: Defender
Height:183cm
Had a surprisingly good champs which has left me baffled about where to place him. He is a good shut down defender but also is a good rebounder. He runs from defence and generally uses the ball pretty well.

54. North Melbourne: Rory Atkins
Position: Midfield
Height:186cm

Feel he is a bit overrated on here, people probably have him higher based on potential. He had a really poor champs. He can certainly play but he is quite inconsistent, when he is up and about he is an inside midfielder who wins the contested ball. His skills are good and his decision making is superb under pressure.

55. Fremantle: Nicholas Graham
Position: Midfielder
Height:182cm

His endurance is good and runs hard all day long, he is a strong tackler and a very good mark overhead. He can go forward and make an impact, but what really lets him down and he will certainly get criticism for it is his kicking. It is very hot and cold. His kicking is probably what will see him drop.

56. Geelong: Nathan Stark
Position: Midifeld
Height: 177cm

Small light bodied inside midfielder but he certainly does not shy away from the contests. Instead he always seems to be at the bottom of them fighting for the ball. Athletically speaking he is not the greatest but he more than makes up for it with his work rate, he consistently give second a third efforts. He will need to spend a bit of time bulking up and a bit of time tidying up his kicking as it is a bit inconsistent.

57. West Coast: Brian Coleman-Broome
Position: Utility
Height: 181cm

This young guy from Queensland has great potential. He can play just about anywhere and have an impact with his running ability and his ball use. His speed would be in the top 5 of this years draft class. One of those types who could be taken in the top 50 due to potential and speed alone or slip through the the rookie draft, like Brad Harvey.

58. Collingwood: Brant Colledge
Position: KPF
Height: 191cm

Unsure on where to put him as I have not seen as much of him as I would have liked due to injury. He is undersized for a KPF but I think he will still become one at the next level. He takes a lot of marks and gets good disposal counts for a KPF. He works super hard and always does the team thing.

59. Sydney: Marvin Warell
Position: Defender
Height:182cm

I’m not convinced that he will be taken in the ND but he has shown some potential playing as a rebounding defender and has also played well up forward. His kicking is average and he will need to work on this.

60. Adelaide: Ryan Morrison
Position: KPD
Height: 191cm

He is on the short side for a KPD but I have no doubt that is what position he will play if he makes it. He can play on smalls or tall's and shut them down. He is a decent rebounder and gives those 1 per centres which is quite impressive. He can play in the midfield and nullifies the impact of his opponent. He probably remind me of Joel Patful.

61. Hawthorn: Tim Sumner
Position: Forward
Height:187cm

HFF who can have a big impact on games. He kicks goals and sets up a lot of them. I’d really love to see him become a midfielder but I don’t think that this will happen at AFL. He is very fast and is dangerous with the ball in his hands his kicking is generally pretty good from what I have been able to see. However he will need to start applying more pressure on his opponents.

Round 4

62. GWS: Laine Wilkins
Position: Forward/Midfield
Height: 190cm

Outside midfielder who provides lots of run and works hard. He is a reasonably good kick but does have the odd mistake. He can play forward like he did last year in the colts which seen him kick 34 goals in 17 games and even collected 21 hitouts. He does need to work on his consistency.

63. Gold Coast:Shane Nelson
Position: Midfield
Height:179cm

Thought he was a bit unlucky last year as I thought he would have been taken at some stage. He is good kick on both side and has good speed which helps him play multiple positions. He has great endurance and gets loads of the footy. Hard to see him getting passed up again.

64. Melbourne: Dom Barry
Position:Midfielder
Height:183cm

Strong overhead mark for a player of his size and is usually a pretty good kick. He will certainly spend some time in the gym. He plays mostly as an outside midfielder but can good up forward and look dangerous. He could push higher as we get closer to the draft.

65. Western Bulldogs: Lachie Hunter (F/S)
Position:Midfield
Height:181cm

Father son selection for the Dogs. Pacey inside midfielder with neat skills and fairly good decision making when under pressure. He is very aggressive and goes in for the ball hard. He wins the contested ball and has good hands. He is also a very good tackler.

66. Port Adelaide:Willie Wheeler
Position:Midfield
Height:179cm

Missed out last year. He wins plenty of clearances, has a very good work rate and just always manages to be the one who clears the ball from packs. Constantly give second and third efforts, Has further worked on his kicking which is one thing he needed to improve one. I’d say he would slot straight into most of the bottom 8 teams.

67. Brisbane Lions: Clay Cameron
Position: Forward/Defence
Height:191cm

Has been playing as a defender this year. He is a very very strong mark and leads well. He has decent speed and is above average athletically speaking. He works hard and is a reliable kick for goal. Think he will be a forward and the next level.

68. Richmond: Ben Saunders
Position: Forward
Height: 187cm

Leading goal kicking the WAFL, he is accurate infront of goal and is a strong mark. He works hard at ground level and provides top notch defensive pressure. Due to height he won’t be a KPF, but he could certainly become a good third tall. I would love to see him spend a bit of time in the midfield.

69. Essendon: Cameron Banfield
Position: Utility
Height:185cm

He is a highly skilled utility with good speed. He finds space regularly and makes good decisions. Will need to add some weight but there is talent to work with. He will probably go a bit higher than where I and most others have place him.

70. Carlton: Jackson Coleman
Position: KPF
Height: 196cm

Was very surprised when he did not get picked up at all last year. Here’s hoping he has some luck this year. He is a big unit and a very good mark, he just takes the ball at its highest point. He has been playing well in the VFL this year and has slowly improved.

71. St Kilda: Ben Duscher
Position: Midfield
Height: 186cm

He would have to be the best bloke running around in the VFL, he is just dominates. It’s about time he gets himself on an AFL list. Classy outside/inside midfielder with nice skills and a great work rate. He tackles hard and makes good decisions under pressure. Would suit a young club like GWS.

72. North Melbourne: Marlon Motlop
Height: 179cm
Position: Defender

Since being delisted by Port Adelaide he has been playing for Swan Districs and has been doing a good job playing as a defender who can push into the midfield and have an impact. As we knew when he was at Port he certainly has talent. He has been a good rebound player and has been using the ball well and making the right decisions.

73. Fremantle: Tom Langford
Position: KPF
Height: 192cm

He is still young at 21 years of age. He is a very good mark and just never takes his eyes of the ball. His endurance is superb for a player of his size and his work rate was tremendous. He is leading the goal kicking for the SANFL reserves. The talent is certainly there.

74. Geelong: Harley Montgomery
Position: Defender
Height 179cm

Talented defender who can really hurt the opposition with his rebounding game but he is also capable of doing a tremendous shut down role on opposition small forwards. He is deceivingly strong and good in 1V1 situations. He has shown the ability to push up into the midfield.

75. West Coast: Aidan Corr
Position: KPD
Height: 196cm

Good rebounding defender for a player of his size. He has a good tank and can run with his opponent all day long. Played well for Vic Metro and with a bit of work he could become a serviceable KPD.

76. Collingwood: James Stewart (F/S)
Position: KPF/KPD
Height: 195cm

He will need some work and will take a while to develop, but I like him playing down back as a tall defender. He works very hard and he is very good at ground level. He intercepts marks and is a brilliant kick for a player that is 195cm. Athletic wise he is quite good and can play well on those 200cm+ guys.

77. Sydney: Ben Kearns
Position: Midfield
Height: 183cm

Classy player who wins a lot of the ball and uses it well. He is very good when under pressure and makes the right decisions more often than not. He can play forward and look very dangerous.

78. Adelaide: Kyle Hartigan
Position: KPD
Height: 194cm

HE would be the best K key position playing going around in the state leagues. It is a bit surprising that he is not on an AFL list as the bottom 8 clubs need KPD’s and so do a couple of the top 8 clubs. He is very good at shutting down his opponent and has decent skills. He can keep up with most forward and is a good spoiler. He would certainly be able to step in from day 1.

79. Hawthorn: Aseri Raikiwasa
Position: KPD
Height: 191cm

Although he is probably undersized for a KPD, that will probably be what position he plays at AFL due to his super long arms. He is good 1V1 and is a very good spoiler, he reads the play well and can intercept the ball and take marks. He works hard at ground level and is a reasonable kick.

Don't see us going Plowman at 6. With Roberts, Talia and Roughy being KPD of the future for us aswell as numerous other KPD. Think we will either take Garlett/Stringer with 6.

if west coast got o'rourke at our first pick would be a great result
you have got adam carter twice at 39 and 44,wouldnt mind him just once at our second pick instead
west coast will also be looking for a KPD and you have them picking up aidan corr
good draft for us,good effort mate

good effort mate but that draft sucks for us. we need inside mids not flankers but couldnt see us pass on grundy.

I would have thought your inside mids are good with Martin, Foley, Cotchin and Tuck. I have you taking Lonergan who is more of a safe bet and would be able to step in from round one as he has a developed body.

patrick wilson?

Don't rate him as high as some others but I will squeeze him in there somewhere as I edit the draft.

the problem is after that we drop off. we need junior inside mids or hybrids to replace the jacksons of this world for our rotations.

Nathan Hrovat is one who is severely underrated on here and could push top 30. Here is my write up of him

Nathan Hrovat
Position: Midfielder
Height:173cm

Big time ball winner who excels in clearances and is a superb tackler. He will no doubt be criticised for his height but he is just a littler terrier. He has above average speed and has a very good tank. Skills are sharp and makes good decisions. He does not back out of a contest and is super aggressive in packs when he is trying to get the ball.

I think you've placed Hrovat well. A few teams would be foolish to pass him on their 2nd pick, imo. One of Port or Brisbane will take him in the 2nd round, imo.

Fair effort on your draft. I doubt we'd take Wines and Plowman, since it doesn't address our desperate need for pace and skill, but everyone has different ideas. Well done.

Cheers, I just tried to get it out there and I will probably have you ending up with Mayes, Stringer and Haynes with you first 3 picks. Stringer would be a bit of a risk but you are in a better position to take it seeing as you have two first rounder where most clubs just have the one. I'm hoping we get to see Stringer test at the Combine.
