Could Butcher slide past Port?

Reread the Port board and you will find most Port supporters want one key forward. You will also find people who have actually watched Salter and Stewart rate them highly, including a few crowies who post on our board.

Personally hoping for Butcher and Talia with #8 and #9.

As promising as Salter and Stewart have looked in glimpses, you can never have too many potentially bluechip KPPs on your list, especially with GC17 and WS18 coming to pillage forthcoming drafts.

I mean really what are you doing comparing form from the SANFL to the AFL? Didnt Adam Richardson for the crows tear it up in the SANFL and then do bugger all when it came to the AFL.

Michael Newton has been tearing it up in the VFL for years and everybody knows when it comes to the AFL hes a complete dud.

No doubt Trengove was brilliant and I am more than prepared to predict great things for him at AFL level based on his SANFL form. I never said I was comparing AFL form to SANFL, there is no comparison. But as with Trengove when there is potential there it is obvious to see even at SANFL level.

Nope didnt watch them in finals ET but dont need to the chances of both rookie picks becoming 200 game key forwards is 0 percent, if even 1 turns into that you should be jumping up and down. As dyertribe has said stock up now while you have the chance (i dont think you will but you should if there are players at around those picks).

FWIW the only slight on Butcher is his attitude, his kicking is nowhere near as bad as people say. I'd love for West Coast to take him with pick 7, but I doubt they will so watch for Port to jump on him.
