I was just thinking, we play Hawthorn in round 22.

Could we see two players reach the 100 goal mark in the same game?

Obviously Franklin is much more likely than Fev, being 6 goals ahead and with us having a hard run home, but wouldn't it be insane to see something like that?

I'm not 100% sure but i highly doubt it's ever been done. It's amazing and rare enough to see one player hit the ton. Imagine if we saw two.

Even if they are not actually going for the 100 goals, it could quite possibly be a shoot-out for the Coleman medal. If so would make for an awesome spectacle, with both side trying in vain to give it off to their respective forward to help them along.

Certainly something to look forward to.

If Buddy was a good kick he would already have a 100 and no we wont see 3 maybe not even 2 or 1 for that matter, Roughead no chance.

Another 4 to Buddy, 6 to Fev.

Fev needs 5 goals a game to get there (75 for the season). Buddy needs just under 5 goals a game to get there (77 for the season)

4 weeks ago i was saying:
"carlton playing for a finals berth, hawthorn playing for top spot... with a fev and buddy shoot off for the coleman in the same game"

"the real travesty is that the game will be played at telstra dome"

the only thing thats changed... hawks now playing for 2nd spot

still a travesty having the game at TD, especially for a blues home game

Fev gave away a gimme goal when he hit Lake in the 1st quarter and missed one in the last he just stabbed at. He should be sitting even with Buddy right now.

I know Buddy has missed a heap though so it probably all evens out.

Franklin bags 8. (85 for the season - needing 3.75 goals a game)

Fev bags 5. (80 for the season - needing 5 goals a game)


Franklin is almost certain to get to the 100. We could be lucky enough to witness it.

Fev could be the second player in Carlton's history to kick 100 goals in a season.

This round 22 game looks to be shaping up nicely and could be one for the history books.

Fev needs one more bag of 6-7 to get there, and we do play Port and the Kangaroos - 2 teams that he has a good chance of doing that. Should be a ripper game vs Hawthorn in round 22.

i'm tipping fev to kick 6-8 in that bracket a bonus if we can restrict buddy to as few goals as possible it be good if we beat Hawthorn they can be beaten be good to finish the year on a High confidence for 2009 depending where we finished on the ladder
