look i don't mean to be offensive to anyone here.

but seriously you have to stop taking this shit so seriously, do you think that the players sit down and read this garbage ag go "geeze craigy doesn't want to win a flag, i'm so disillustioned"

seriously he is talking about building a great club that is successful over a long period of time not just a flash in the pan.

I for one want premierships but i don't want 7 years of shit in between.

Absolutely, a lot of people live there life like a fast food fix, expecting everything now and never looking ahead. Im stoked with the article, craig loves to learn and adapt to a challenge. Developing a winning culture now and into the future is paramount. He has always maintained this and the interview just shows he is learning and adpating to what it takes to continue to the bigger picture - the crows being an AFL powerhouse.

ADELAIDE coach Neil Craig has stunned the football world by declaring he will never coach another AFL club.

No one should be stunned by that, least of all an Advertiser journalist. Craig has made those comments before, more than once.

Asgardian as a troll is quite harmless & occasionally does make some interesting comments even if they do take time to unscramble.

Toughen up Nod. What part of his comment ""Just goes to show how stupid and f***ed in the head cows supporters are"" didn't you understand.

Like the majority of the Port board, the guys a to**ser and was banned accordingly.

As for the topic, despite some obvious flaws, I still think Craigy is the best man for the job by a fair margin. However, I'm not sure the AFC supporterbase has the patience to pesist with him for at least a 5 year rebuild. I hope we do, becuase a long term coach is what this club really needs. We can't keep turning our coaches over every 3-5 years.

What board was this on? As much as I agree there have been posts elsewhere which have annoyed me , like Drummond I think people react to the poster and not the post.

Does that mean we bypass a Matthews or a Worsfold just to ensure longevity?

He posted that on the Port Board I imagine.

Its a case of smiling to our faces (albeit actually trolling politely) and then on the port board showing his true colours, bagging us out.

Matthews is the exception but the only difference between Worsfold and Craigy is Worsfold had/has a competent recruitment/trading dept at his disposal. If Craigy had West Coast list he would have won a premiership, or at the very least, played in a GF.

I agree on the Worsfold/Craig connection. I think they are very similar and equal. Just pointing out that a need for longevity is not a good reason to keep a coach.

Definitely agree here, the Eagles have probably had the best list over the past 3 years and really should have, undoubtedly had 3 premierships to show for it, Worsfold had a midfield of Cox, Judd, Cousins, Kerr, Fletcher, Embley and Stenglein, whilst our midfield was good, it wasn't as good as this. Craig has done exceptionally well with a list that was thought to be dead, the Eagles was anything but, their only weakness was their forward line, however their midfield more than compensated. Don't forget that Worsfold took 3 years(with a finals record of 3 loses) of development before a serious challenge for a premiership, Craig did it straight away and is only just entering his 4th year, the year which saw the worsfold take the eagles to a premiership. I do not doubt that Worsfold is good, but I woulnd't prefer him over Craig.

Whoo Hoo:D:thumbsu:

I got suspeneded (yet again) from the Port Board for one very minor comment about their 2007 GF record defeat, yet we have put up with this clown and his snide trolls for an eternity.

I think Port got what they desevred in this year's GF. A good wakeup call. But the Cats were clearly the better team on the day. Awesome to watch just like Adelaide in the first half of 2006.

One of the most awesome displays of football I have ever seen. Were Geelong really that good or were Port Power really that bad.
