I was getting so psyched about this thing. But then in comes the 'no singing' crowd... what happened to going all out for your team?

If your so determined to sing sit at home with a Celine Dion CD, and headphones and have a ball.

I'm not sure what exactly it is you want? You don't want singing but you want chanting? I have no problems with some of the songs mentioned in this thread, I agree that some of the soccer songs are garbage but there's certainly a few worth learning.

At United games... its shirts off at goals. I did it at any goal that put AUFC in front, even when its been p**sing with rain and windy as. I didn't name myself as a cult figure, I forget who it was that did... but someone did. I've even got my own smiley on the AUFC forums. lol

However, have never and will never do that at AAMI Stadium. Your eyes will be spared... but your ears wont!

I've just flipped through this thread (as it's gone from 5 to 11 pages in about 15 minutes), so not sure if this one been mentioned - it's a bit old, but would go down well around the Collingwood cheer squad when Collingwood's losing.

'Oh it's gone all quiet over there (point to the Collingwood cheer squad)'

Or when there's a soft free kick...

'She fell over, she fell over' - a whole chant yelling that out would be quite humourous.

A good kick arse chant that was sung after every goal that could go for about 30 to 40 seconds would be wild and then the entire crowd would break into

A~D~E~L~A~I~D~E.... CLAP... CLAP... CLAP... A~D~E~L~A~I~D~E ...CLAP... CLAP... CLAP

So it would last for about 90 seconds and then get back into the game.

Something like the English Barmy Army did after every wicket and ended up going Barmy Army, Barmy Army, Barmy Army

The radio helps drown out the imbeciles who yell out crap like “kick it long” or whinge about how slow the ball is moving.

So ease up turbo.

Alright; this Saturday I'm going to a mate's BBQ before the game, so I'll get nice and gassed there, then continue to get hammered at the actual game. I'll probably watch the first two quarters from the seats, then come down the Northern End and go *******.

As this is Goody's 200, surely he must be our focus.
