News Crows FIXture 2022

Don't care. We get rolled on the grand final arrangement, the compensation (which would be not even close to an even up) should be playing every MCG tenant at the MCG, always
Carlton is only a half tenant
Since Carlton left Princess Park
We've played them at the MCG 7 times and Docklands 6.
That's fair.

Complain about the Hawthorn game all you like.
But if you're going to be complaining about the Carlton game you're just being selfish.

It shouldn't be fair fixturing because of the unfair finals fixturing

Which will make Carlton's 2022 failure even sweeter :)

What's the obsession with Channel 7 vs Fox coverage anyway? Apart from Dwayne Russell of course. Why is not getting 7 coverage seen as a bad thing? They aren't that good.

I'd much rather watch a game on Kayo than FTA.

A high amount of fans now would have Kayo as well.
It's about National coverage and the opportunities that come with it.

Would be nice to get that when we are actually a chance!
That doesn't make sense though. If you are a chance, you should have a tougher draw. Unfortunately, we finished stone motherless last last year and still had a tough draw this year while Port had an easy one! I'm just grateful to have an easy draw for once!

Yep this is it, probably doesn't change much for the average supporter as a one off, other than any additional coverage and conversation the Friday night game gets.

I guess as a supporter it just feels good knowing that everyone is watching your side (if your team wins) and you get a bit of extra discussion about your club in the couple of days before the game.

It means more to the club and supporters longer term if it helps generate sponsorship and memberships that result in the club being more financially successful.

If we were guaranteed a Friday night channel 7 primetime standalone Showdown every single year, the Showdown sponsorship value goes up.

Clubs that are basically guaranteed a handful of them every single year, regardless of ladder position, again, the sponsorship value goes up.
