These articles really shit me, have absolutely no facts or quotes, pure speculation.

Perhaps not made a bid ...yet, but article on AFL website says Adelaide has entered the race to get Cloak. This must surely mean AFC is not confident about securing Tippett.

Possibly just a gambit to force Kurts hand one way or the other in my opinion. If Kurt does go, there is priobably SOME room in the cap for Cloke, even though we couldn't compete with some of the lower table clubs

thanks for saving me reading the whole article looking for any sources or quotes BACCS

so theres a few reasons an article like this could have come about.

1. Tippett has indicated he's leaving and we're exploring an option
2. The Crows are sick of Tipps lack of urgency so have leaked a rumour to give him a subtle hurry up
3. The other clubs chasing Cloke have also got jack of his stuffing around and have pulled the pin.
4. The other clubs have lowered their offer because he's not playing well enough to command a 5 year deal and the Clokes have linked us because they are panicking
5. Brisbane/GC are just stirring the pot to get Tippo off side
6. The AFL have realised that Brad Crouch is a gun and are retrospectively taking away our mini draft pick. This story is just the diversion.

I think i've covered it.

To be fair, if Cloke really is on the market I doubt there would be many clubs that haven't at least been in touch with his management.

Sounds like BS to me, if you ask me, it's probably Dave Cloke trying to keep the pressure on Collingwood for a better deal OR Brisbane/GC leaking a rumor to try to get them more leverage for Tippo.

I very much doubt that Cloke would want to move to Adelaide and I also don't think we'd want him, he's too hard to work with and isn't as good as he thinks he is, nor is he worth as much as he's asking.
