True that, ralph was on 5aa this evening saying the we have a selection policy that if you don't get your required kpi's in a game for 3 games in a row you get dropped. He said VB missed in 8 games. Phil Harper came on a said it wasn't 8 it was 3. Whether it's true or not I suggest many other players have missed their kpi's multiple times like walker mave have.
So we have one player and what Harper said makes sense if kpis have been set and don't get met then that player will be dropped.

And all I want to know is who in your opinion do you think is getting away with stuff Taylor ain't.My belief is, some players are getting an easy ride and a whole heap of double standards are being applied. If the KPI’s are too low, is another indictment on Neil Craig as he doesn’t have a grasp on modern day football.
Very, very interesting - if true.

Needs more context.
Would like to know the average rate of games where the KPI are failed per season.
Keeping in mind our policy is supposedly three in a row leads to dropping. This suggests that one failure individually isnt seen as a big deal.

don't want to be seen as a Thread Nazi however question to the Mods is the subject of players meeting or not meeting KPI's and the ramifications on selection worthy of its own thread......
It's an interesting one. Threads based on this sort of info are always very good reading. However, we know very little of what the KPI's are.don't want to be seen as a Thread Nazi however question to the Mods is the subject of players meeting or not meeting KPI's and the ramifications on selection worthy of its own thread......
Why? He's not stupid. He knows that different positions have different demands - and different players have different capabilities.I think players need different kpi's depending on type of player and position played. I think Neil would lean more towards everyone having the same kpi's.

I'd be extremely surprised if he didn't tailor people's minimum acceptable KPIs on an individual basis.
Please don't tell me you're going on about Tex Walker? Walker got dropped because he wasn't working hard enough offensively or defensively. I doubt he was within 50% of his KPIs - and those would have been tailored specifically to him.I don't think he's stupid, but it seems like he expects the same 1%ers from say a forward as he does from a backman or midfielder when in reality they shouldn't even be close.

Do we all feel you can put KPI's indivdually.
I'm a consultant/analyst so the idea appeals on one level.
But I'm just not sure you can put KPI's in place to give a true measure of whether someone should be in or out of the side. There have to be a range of qualitative factors (and to be fair maybe the KPI's are qualitative) involved.
For instace - how do you measure leadership for the senior playing group?
(sum of games ratio between themeslves and anyone they talk to for leadership purposes) / TOG?
