Yes.... it has worked for Adelaide against Richmond the past 4 or 5 times....I don't remember when we last won against Adelaide...'96 over there when Blight walked off before final time ? But every time our amateur midfield has struggled against Mcleod, Goodwin, Ricciutto, etc....
The good news is that McLeod is not 100% at the moment & is playing mainly as a forward (who collects 20+ possesions, but nowehere as damaging). Roo if fit is also likely to play mainly as a forward. However, I doubt the coaching staff will risk him if there is any doubt with his hammy. Bickley is out which is good news for you guys as he has been one of our better midfielders this year. I expect Goody should be OK to play & he was in vintage form just before getting injured. Expect our younger 2nd tier players such as Ladhams (who has been burning in the last month), Bode, Stenglein & Doughty to spend more time in the midfield than our so-called guns who are not 100%.

Rodan. Hopefully Frawley comes to his senses and tells King, DK & Rodgers the cold hard facts:- "you arent good enough, thanks & goodbye"

Shaky

Low marks for Crows' forwards
19 August 2002 Herald Sun
By MICHELANGELO RUCCI

For Ayres, the most telling statistic in the Crows' eight-point "showdown" loss to Port Adelaide was again Adelaide's lack of contested marks in attack.

Ayres labelled the statistic "terrible".

"It's either delivery or the type of players we've got cannot take a contested mark," said Ayres, who last month went to the Adelaide board stressing that the Crows' lack of hard-marking forwards needed to be a recruiting priority.

------------------------------------------
Crows looking a little shaky this week.

Their deficiencies are our Strengths.
Can their Backs step up and match/hold our inform hard-marking forwards with our now improved delivery from centre breaks and our abundance of forward scoring options?
Their onballers are better but carrying injuries and not at 100%
could give our guys the edge, as they heavily rely on their mid-field.

For Ayres it must be a real concern as IMO we have the best hard marking forward/s in the competition.

If we get the ball into our forward 50 on more occassions leave it up to our forwards and we should win.

Our Forwards are the Trump cards in this match.

Go Tiges.........We will gladly eat Crow for this game !

I posed this query on the Crows board a couple of months ago ... and it's still got me baffled.

Why isn't Brett Burton the best player in the League ?

He is spectacular, and seems tough enough ... but what goes wrong ?

As for the Crows ... do you guys think that there might be a bit of a hangover from the game where you and Port smacked each other up ? Sheeez, I was bruised and battered after just watching the bloody game ...

the midfield....

Goodwin won't come up again.
bickley suspended.
ricciutto might play on a tight hammy.
McLeod not hot right now.

Of course that leaves Johnson...Edwards and some other lesser knowns. and Richmond have the edge over adelaide over there in recent matches.

Tip the Tigers....:D

Actually have played 7 times at Footy Park with a 4-3 record to Richmond.:)

bowdo

Bowdo's stats are quite high but I'm waiting for him to start running with the ball and doing damge....Campbo too.

With taggers taking their run away...it's hurting us.
