Anyone else laugh a bit at the commentators when they thought the crowd was booing Ricciuto?

300 games and they still just... dont... get.... it.

hahaaaaa

Crowd: Roooooooooo

Commentators: ohh they haven't forgiven Ricciuto for some rough stuff earlier

Mad Dog:

You might also want to check the stats to confirm that his quietest games have tended to correspond with losses. Is it him or the way we've played in those games? Did it occur to you that after his very good games in rounds 1 and 2 that the opposition might start paying a lot more attention to him, recognising him as an important player for us. As for dropping heaps of easy marks, well you must have a better memory than me because I can't recall it being a massive issue.
Bock had a good game tonight - but he needs to string a few of these together, against quality opposition to still convince me we are better playing him as a forward than a defender.

I thought Welsh had a great game & een though he didn't many goals to 3 quarter time, gave us a leading target up the ground.

So in a short paragraph or two, what was the gist of the game?
Not surprised by your win as IMO it was a toss up, but I expected the game to be a lot closer than the score indicates, certainly not double their score.

Bock had a good game tonight, but he will need to string a few more together on a conistent basis against quality opposition to convince me he is better value as a forward than a defender.

Great game by Welsh, who presented as a leading target further up the ground ... then finished off the game nicely with a bag.

I thought our tackling was alot better tonight. Minimal free kicks given away, a reduction in missed tackles and alot of pressure on the Kangaroo ball carrier.

SENSATIONAL GAME TONIGHT!!!! What a performance!!
Thommo absoultley brilliant!
Bock and welsh Suberb
Mattner Finally doing what he does best!
Bassett & Rutten WOW just so reliable!
Stevo great game some awesome contested marks!!
Vb & Knights The Future is VERY BRIGHT!! (Knighta on ya for standing up for your team mates!)
Massie Fantastic Return game!!
ROOOO gets hit time and time again but leads the way great effort tonight!

once again SENSATIONAL Game!! Great Effort to be 7-5 in the top 4.....at this stage...... is Bloody brilliant considering the horrific injuriy toll and the disgraceful Umpiring dished out to us!

Ok

Adelaide looked more open than usual , Roos let themselves down with poor kicking and not due to any pressure from the AFC

Massie played well as did Thompson and the back 6 was great as usual.

Adelaide skipped out to a 28point half time lead only for both sides to kick 1-2 goals in the 3rd quarter. Adelaide then kicked 6 goals to 1 in the last quarter to win easily in the end.

Welsh got 4 goals in the last qtr

Pretty much that we attacked and our skills were good enough to execute. We moved the ball quickly and our forwards functioned well as a unit rather than getting in each others way. They complemented each other and ended up kicking a few between then (Welsh 5, Bock 4, McGregor 2).

We had Massie come in and step up and Thompson just continued being a gun. Van Berlo got tagged in the 2nd half :thumbsu:. Overall we just a better side and were in control pretty much from the start.

Crows kicked the ball more precisely less errors seeing more goals, Kangaroos didn't do to well in front of goal 2 goals 5 from set shots.
The goals perhaps gifts from the guys with whistles for a head high tackle on Johncock called holding the ball, lazy tackle rewarded.
Basically Adelaide moved the ball more precisely and won contested football well as usual.
The forwards scored well from the opportunity they created with better passing and offensive tackling.
Defense solid again just less poor decisions and better delivery.

Just on Welsh , congratulations on kicking 5 goals but the more important thing was his contested marking :thumbsu:

I'm one of those who believe our players are good contested markers and that our forwards have struggled when the ball takes forever to work its way up the ground. ( yes I understand and appreciate the times it happens) With Welsh I think he revels in a contested marking situation...except when he thinks he can chest mark

An interesting stat.,.. now revised is he has kicked 27 goals when we have won our matches and only 2 goals in matches he has played when we have lost

Welsh is definately the Key!!

Thanks all. :thumbsu:

Geesh 11 goals out of 15 from you KPPs is a fair effort by today's standards.
Nowadays that usually means quick and long/direct/accurate type movement before the other team has had a chance to flood.

That's spot on actually.

IMO Kenny Mac is the key up there actually, taking on the biggest strongest defender and doing all the bullocking leaving Bocky and Welsh to enjoy the glamour of kicking goals

Kenny took a couple of good contested marks and brought the pack balls to ground for the lurkers and sharkers.

The attack looks much better with K-Mac back.

Thank-YOU! Its nice to talk to someone who actually notices the stuff k-mac does, which goes un-noticed by so many others. While not the final and all conquering option, our forward line looks infinitely better with Kenny up there. How did he not get a game for so long? Simply ridiculous. Glad hes got his chance and is showing he's a great player ...ONYA KENNY! :thumbsu:

Loved Kenny's game but please can the AFC put some knee pads on that boy or else I fear he may end up like Mark Stevens. :(

Certainly hits the deck hard but thats the way he plays, puts himself in those positions for the team. Knee pads may be a good idea :D i suggest hot pink with fluoro green outlining, nice.
