Who here takes sickies when the crows are on? I work arvo shift and will NEVER work when the crows are on a friday night, or work a weekend during the game. Be interesting to see what kind of dedication people have.

My primary job has hours that are outside of match times, so there's no issue there.

With my secondary job, I just pick and choose the shifts I want to do. I just avoid/decline shifts that clash with the football generally.

I live in Melbourne these days and go to EVERY melbourne game. I will be travelling to Adelaide for 5 games this year and will also be going to the game on the gold coast against the Tigers and the game in Brisbane. Can anyone beat that?
It goes without saying that Crows come before work (and everything alse for that matter) for me.

You should change your username to obessive_Crow or isithealthytohavenolifeoutsideoffotty_Crow :p

In the interstate games thread. Somebody said they are going to all 22 plus all preseason games, bar Alice Springs. Unsure about Berri.

If I have to work I tape the match and avoid the result until I got a chance to watch it.

Once I missed a Showdown match due to work and avoided the result the whole evening, finally got home and got ready to watch the match at 2AM and stayed up until 4 to watch it. It was the one we won despite having a bench full of injured players, I was so pumped at 4AM I couldn't even sleep :p

is that the first one of 2008 with Vince winning the Showdown medal.

Or the one were Hentschel got his knee destroyed. (did we win that game)

The 2008 one, and yes we won the game where Hentschel's knee got destroyed, I'm fairly sure anyway.

Na - we lost that game. We were leading when he did he knee and then Port kicked away in the 4th quarter.

Wasn't it round 21 - 2006.

2006 - Round 21 Port Adelaide 14.11 (95) d Adelaide 11.15 (81) AAMI Stadium Crowd: 41,549

In the mid 90’s working on a Friday night – i missed a few games but always managed to get Saturday and Sundays off.

I haven’t had the misfortune of having a job that entails night shifts or weekends since i started working full time or for myself. At uni again now so it’s no worries.

I work 8:30-5:00 weekdays. So never need to take times off Fri nights or Weekends.
But I take quite a few mondays/fridays off when i go to games interstate

I still refer to that day as Black Sunday.

We lost Hentschel & Hart in the same game. Hentschel wouldn't play a senior game for almost 2 1/2 years. It turned out to be Hart's last ever Crows game.

It was also the game which started Rucci's counter on Scott Thompson. Ironically, his counter doubled as a counter of how long Port had gone winless against us (until they beat us last year).

All I can say to that person, is, get a life!!:p
OK I decided to go searching for who it was

are you sure that they should get a life?
Hopefully I'll be going to all of them, even pre season, we just gotta win Round 1 NAB Cup so we don't have to play in Alice Springs!

I'm Neil Craig so fingers crossed I don't have to worry about this for a little while.

Don’t knock it, if i had that sort of money for flights and accommodation i would do it – for sure. :thumbsu::thumbsu:

Sadly my income only allows me to get to one away game per year. :(
