Moved Thread Cyril Rioli vs Chris Yarran

Even though Rioli plays in attack and Yarran plays in defence, both players are similar in a lot of ways. Both are small, quick players with silky skills and have that X factor about them, and they can both rotate through the midfield.

Who would you pick if given a choice between the two?

Both are very overrated as well, although this year i feel Cyril is starting to approach his hype.

I'd take Cyril, Yarran was drafted as a forward who could play midfield, but he failed there and has been playing loose down back. Cyril at least affects matches and causes headaches, something Yarran doesn't do.

Reckon Cyril would make a beast HB. One thing today that realied astounded me as a neutral supporter was the lack of tackling pressure that Yarran aplied. In the last quarter, there was an instance where yarran put a finger nail on a swans player. He then turned around and followed the player running past him. He left a player from 5 metres behiind the ball carrier attempt to aply a tackle. The swans kicked a goal. Doubt you would see that from rioli.
