I read on the d1 thread that Powerhouse beat Yarra Valley (d1) by 4 goals. With results like this surely powerhouse will be a major force in d3 this year.

Banyule beat Monash. Monash had about 4 guys play both games. No.44 (wells) and no. 25 were stand outs for Monash.

Had some real big timber up forward who looked like they will be a handful, and onballers looked quick.

How did the Old W's go on the weekend?

OW had a fantastic 3 goal win over Waubra, reigning Premiers from Central Highland FL last season.

Some very good signs for all involved - but a big shock to Waubra who thought we'd be a nice soft warm-up win b4 starting their season.

That may help answer Newtons question of what the standard of D3 is like because by all reports Waubra's other 2 hit-outs have been againbst GFL sides?!?!? Both of which they also lost?

We now have a weekend off after 4 good hit-outs before launching into the season proper. Bring-on round one!
