He was good today, just needs a little more composure though when kicking, always his caviet. He kicks full pace and sprays a lot rather then just taking an extra half second to steady and slow down.

I think you're mistaking his game yesterday for other games

His kicking was sublime yesterday. He stuffed up 1 kick majorly and ran at a very high DE %. He was at 100% after the 1st qtr from 10 touches

Agree -noticed how Danger made an effort to caress the ball when he had extra time at his disposal.

Dangerfield is a gun, to think he's only really played 1 and a half years in the midfield. He is Adelaide, he fires we have a chance, if he doesn't we struggle.

I didn't say thank god Walker is gone. But he is, clearly you need to deal with it. And I think his loss will prove a blessing in disguise when we have a 2 pronged forward structure next year.

I agree with the sentiment of your original post. Tex's injury will force the Crows hand in playing Smack/ Lynch/ LJ and as a result the coaches will be able to see who, if any, stand up. If Tex and Jerka were fit the whole year the others may well have spent the season in the sanfl. At least now the coaches will have more afl data to go by when decisions are made at the end of the year.

Dangers disposal has always been generally pretty good, its just those scrubbers when at a ridiculous pace that stand out and make people think his disposal is average. Also a very reliable set shot. I would like to know his % of goal shots.

Career 103 G, 65 B, 61.3%
2013 9 G, 4 B, 69.2% (small sample size)

Not bad stats for a midfielder (oops, sorry, wasn't he picked in a fwd pocket in the AA team last year?)

Absolutely amazing game. Showed how good he can be.

Had as many contested possessions this week as he has averaged for total possessions through the first 5 games and his Disposal Efficiency was 77%... What a gun.

Shows how important it is for your elite players to perform up to the level they are capable of. We looked so much more dangerous with him firing.

Which begs the question - what has changed? I am seriously doubting he was injured as many on here were suggesting (Usually if a player is slowly getting healthy they will keep slowly improving). The Dangerfield against Carlton was lacking composure confidence and that pace. He was a completely different person against Hawthorn. Have no idea what was wrong with him, but just hope he plays like he did on the weekend for the rest of the year.

Not band for a player who is "out of form". Honestly I think we have write off these injury rumours after the weekend, he was flying out there.

So when the club having him train behind close doors and having him play more up forward was for show?

I'm sure he was injured, not now tho! Anyone else get the feeling though he has the potential to go down as one of the games greats?

I do, have never before seen a player of the modern era able to have such a good balance of all key attributes (bar maybe judd, but I think dangerfield is faster and stronger at the same age), just needs to up the consistency slightly and he will win brownlows for sure.

Potential wise, he's the best around for a while.

Pretty boy Cotchin' just aint up to it ;)

I love Danger, but how on earth is he fifth in the coaches award o_O Guess it shows how much we depend on him. Anyway, could not believe how well he kicked on the weekend, hopefully he continues on like that.
