I think in the past, Geelong have been pretty good people to deal with so I think a deal will get done pretty early. How they then manage to get Henderson, I'm not sure, but that's none of your concerns.

I will respecfully diagree. Something is only worth what someone is willing to pay. Dangerfield wants to leave Adelaide and ONLY wants Geelong. Adelaide has lost significant leverage given that fact. He's a F/A who wants to come home for family reasons, so while that isn't Adelaide's problem and doesn't preclude them from their rights to match given the restricted component of Danger's F/A situation, Adelaide really only has one buyer.

The AFL and the Player's Association will not let Adelaide demand a ridiculously unreasonable compensation package and will put pressure on Adelaide to accept something which is reasonable given ALL of the facts. Pick #9 this year plus steak knives (GHS) and next year's second rounder is smack bang in the middle of pick #14 compensation and what you guys on here are baying for.

Not sure if I would be happy with the two firsts (2015/16).
We need to win this trade, or at least have the ability come out with a win at the end of the trade period.
It doesn't matter that if Danger is uncontracted, so was Judd. It doesn't matter that he is unrestricted FA if we match.
If Geelong want him they need to get a lower pick this year, or find us a player we really rate.
If he goes in the PSD he ends up in Brisbane for at least a year (pretty sure two on contract).
Means other clubs should come into the frame.
Once we match we hold all the cards, we just got to man up and actually play them if we have to.

We won't have danger on our list next year. If we fold we end up with an extra lottery pick on our list this year and next(will they be like Lever or like Sellar). It's worth risking to see if we can get a bidding war happening. We could end up in front list balance wise at the end of the trade period if we play it right.

Let him go and play with Carlton, Mebourne, or Brisbane for a year then. He can then nominate for the PSD again at the end of 2016 and go to one of the other bottom clubs.

Perhaps he can become a football gypsie and change clubs every year until Geelong finish bottom, or he and Geelong stop being tools.
