he was meant to get help after 2019

he's claiming innocence and the Police issued a statement saying no victim has come forward to press charges so they won't be looking into the matter unless they do
he did go missing for a while as he was in rehab, sadly it's not shocking that it's come up again

So here’s a new one, straight out of Utopia!

The government is denying it broke a promise made prior to the 2018 election to build two new railway lines in Melbourne’s west, under the banner, the "Western Rail Plan". It was never a promise but an “EVOLVING COMMITMENT”

It would certainly be a wiser idea to keep V/Line and Metro trains separated.

Seems like electrification on the cheap.

Yeah, I was more focused on the language. Election promises are no longer promises but evolving commitments, like an evolving commitment is meaningless.

Electrification to Melton has been talked about for about 10 years less than Airport rail and about as likely as an Airport rail

Does that involve The Rock in any way shape or form?

Earlier than that!

This is the 1972 destination roll off a Hitachi Train. Both Deer Park West and Melton are on it.

I knew about it, but don’t consider it an essential service.

Also, my house has character, it doesn’t need a fake stage production.

Its not about being fake, celebrities and high-profile people will stage their home to protect their privacy.

It's kinda like staging for a free kick.
Only if you think staging is deceptive? When you buy a property in Australia you are buying an empty shell. The whole idea of staging is to present the property in the most appealing way. Some buyers are incapable of visualising what an empty house or apartment could look like if furnished.

Converting the RRL from VLine services to Metro services would provide better service, but they'd still have to figure out how to fit the VLines and Metro trains (as well as the future airport trains) through the section between Sunshine and Southern Cross. They keep skimping on expanding capacity between Sunshine and Southern Cross and it hamstrings the whole western network.

This change was entirely foreseeable. Metro 2 with a new track pair between Newport and Fishermans Bend and through the CBD in a new tunnel (also carrying Geelong Services direct and faster) is the real solution and at this rate, not that much more expensive than other options for capacity in the west.

Sunshine to Southern Cross things are split with the RRL. Sunbury trains will enter the metro tunnel at South Ken. Melton and Airport trains are supposed to do the same. West Footscray into the tunnel has CBTC.

The bit that got binned is Sunshine to Melton.

You only have to look at the Pakenham line to see why having Vline and Metro trains share tracks isn't great.
Vline trains just end up behind metro trains no real ability to overtake

It's completely about being fake... If it wasn't you'd just leave your own stuff there. I'm not saying it's a bad thing, but it is fake in the extreme, trying to make your home look like a display house (I have used "home" and "house" deliberately there).

What if you've already moved out and it would otherwise be empty?

People have little to no concept of size and space, an empty room can look significantly smaller than it really is for example.

I have no love whatsoever for real estate agents, but there's plenty of scenarios where 'staging' a home makes sense. The idea that they're going to move all of someone's furniture out of the house for a photo op is pretty silly. Usually it would either be an otherwise empty house because they've already moved out, or more of a styling type service where you use the major pieces someone already has and make it look nicer (since most people obviously don't pay an interior designer to do their homes).

It's not really about trying to pretend that's how your house actually looks while you live there in my experience, it's selling aspiration as to how the house could look for the prospective buyer.

As I said in my original post, I completely agree with the concept behind doing it (and have done so to some degree in a couple of houses that I've sold). But, ultimately it is fake, just like display houses. They're not a true representation of what a house will look like, but gives potential buyers an idea/concept.

The point I'm trying to make is fake does not necessarily equal bad.

But it could look like that for the new buyer, if they wanted. You're selling aspiration. No different to showcasing the latest Ford Ranger doing off-road stuff despite knowing most people are buying them to roam around the suburbs going to and from coffee.

As I said, I don't have any love for real estate agents and I think the entire industry is pretty disgraceful, but potting individuals as fake for doing what (AFAIK) is proven to help them sell their home for more is unfair.

Isnt that what the current buses servicing the Gippsland line are all about ? I saw a train come through Traf recently, but you can rely on it to get you to an appointment in the city.

No.

Buses are either for:
Level Crossing Removals.
Metro Tunnel and associated stuff.
Gippsland Rail upgrade

There's only Pakenham Dandenong Westall Caulfield where trains can overtake. Westall is the easiest as it has a bypass track and extra platform.

East Pakenham will have bypass tracks to allow metro trains terminate out of the way of Vline trains
