Did anyone actually hear him say this?

Yeah, he said it... yet again.

Been saying all along he is very happy in Adelaide playing for the Crows & going nowhere.

As I said, I watched this…..but he didn’t say that he definitely wants to play long term with us.

Not sure how it was possible to miss that? Said multiple times he was happy here and made a point of saying his family comes across.

Yeah saw that obviously. Didn’t hear him say he wants to be here long term, which was reported that he did say. Just interested to hear the bit that was actually quoted in the media many times. It may have been in another interview.

Cheers, but both of those are the very same interview, which I’ve watched 5 times, where he does not state what has been reported that he said.

See quote I highlighted in red on my last post.

Starting to think that quote didn’t happen. He did not actually say “I definitely want to be at the crows long term”, even though he has said he is happy here.

Agreed. News article made it sound like contract was imminent. The actual press release was the less promising ‘taking it day by day’, ‘focusing on my footy’, ‘I’ll let my manager handle that’. A lot less promising.

Really need to get him on the Rachele/Soligo long term contract ASAP. If he’s not signed by end of H&A I’ll begin to worry.

I was happier with how he responded to the suggestion about recruiting his brother.

They are but the news station has taken a pretty big leap assuming the contract signing is closing in if in fact its not.....BUT it IS C7 and they do have a history of making stuff up

The line about him wanting to commit long-term to the club is from a separate piece, not from yesterday's press conference. I'm not even sure it's a quote, it seems to just be a story about his manager initiating talks with the club:

Exactly. "This masthead" means it was a direct quote to the person writing the article.

If Curtin is going to be a captain it wont be for at least another 7 years. So anything could happen in that time. But Id say you are probably right.
