Also that moment in the third quarter when he just waltzed out of full back through congestion. Bounced the ball. Calm AF.
Thinks its fair to say he now knows he really belongs at AFL level & can do anything.

Obviously it didn’t come to this, but as an intriguing thought wonder if he still has his defensive instincts to have gone back and cooled Naughton/poor man’s Thilthorpe if needed once Butts went down.

Potentially a hell of a luxury to have a back up KPD//KPF hanging out on a wing if unexpected injuries stuff around with the structure

I like him as wingman as he does get back into defence to help out.

Was impressed by both ROB getting back into defence & Max taking over the Wozz role after Butts went off.

Great team defence after Naughton got off to a flyer.

Agree with all that and you don’t want to do it.

But say Keane got injured as well …

Hell of a luxury to have a 6’5 100 kg winger who grew up as a key defender available
Absolutely!

We are unlikely to get caught short.

We would probably still look to use someone like Hinge though.

At his present rate of improvement he’ll be our best player by the showdown
He still needs to show prolonged consistency over a whole season, like a Thilthorpe, Max and Worrell.

The more I think about Curtin, the more I think he is best suited (not necessarily this season) as a midfielder. He seems Bont-like to me with the clean skills and supreme marking power. He literally has all the skill sets to become a utility player who you can fit anywhere, not unlike Dawson. Why I say Bont-like is his agility, looks capable of weaving through traffic and with strength. Midfield will give him the most exposure to the ball, and he is damaging whenever ball in hand.

Love love loved his game today, just a powerhouse who can mark, battle out of a contest and lay a tackle with his arms, not his whole body.

Swapping the 2 picks for this guy was our equivalent to Port trading up for Rozee.

The number 6 curse is surely going to die.

Should be close to the Rising Star.

I expect there to be kids starting to wear the number 6 on their back again.

Bloody exciting
6 Curtin
7 Thilthorpe
8 Rachele

All in a row. Pretty damn exciting young trio of footballers

The kid is going to be a superstar.

I was worried we wouldn’t know how to play him and wanted a pure mid instead as I thought we’d waste him.

Wanted him at half forward, didn’t think he’d be mobile enough for a wing.

But FMD, he’s an elite wing. He’s the perfect go to get out of trouble bomb it to the wing, he’ll either mark it or bring it to ground.

He can go deep in defence for a chop out.

He can go forward and create an attacking option.

He moves in traffic, is calm, great decision making and elite skills.

I haven’t loved another bloke this much since Jon Snow.
