Yes, but I didn't say anything about "gifting him games" IMO he is worthy of playing seniors in his own right, as a component of his development
 
I'd suspect Grundy comes back in next week for Darcy, I reckon give him some decent time in the VFL playing up forward, which he hasn't done much of this year. If he shows some consistent good form he could find himself getting a couple more games in the seniors late in the season.
 
He came in averaging 2 kicks in the VFL and got his average :(

Could be quite a few changed with Grundy, Goldsack, Greenwood and Sinclair available for selection. Should freshen the side up nicely for a crucial game.

He's not suddenly going to get bigger of stronger playing seniors. Hes not ready...it's as simple as that. when grundy comes back a tall goes out. Same with Reid fir that matter.

If neither of them are available next week maybe moore gers another game

So you think from what you sore in 1 game he is Overrated?

He did not get near the Ball as did not get kicked to him much at all

Yeah for me it's Grundy and Goldy in for Moore and Maynard, I think Sinclair is another week away but Greenwood has to come in, who makes way?

Darcy would have found out he was selected on, what, Wednesday? Match committee is at around 2pm? Bucks would have told Darcy around 3pm?

Darcy's dad (the legendary Peter Moore) was in Reno Nevada at the time. That's about as far away from the MCG as you can get on planet earth. I'd estimate it would have taken him around 24 hours to get home ...

... and yet he did it so he could watch his son debut.

There's a 'Father of the year' nominee right there.

The kid is a superstar .. Buckley needs to give Moore the support and play him for the next 5 -6 games ..

How about not playing him in a game that has a top 4 chance riding on it .. Buckley needs to back Darcy now and play him for the next 5 games.. He also needs to play Grundy and greenwood in the vfl for 5or 6 so they can get some form back ..
 
Don't think Jono Brown (and many others) troubled the statisticians in his first game....and he turned out ok.
So young Darce has had a taste and he'll be all the better for it.
 
He needs an extended run of games, play him for the next 3 and then judge him, is of no benefit to him to play 1 game and then go back to the 2s

Did Brown even touch it in his 1st Game. Talls don't make Immediate Impact like Mids can do

Agree.Give him a few weeks. Port game be less Intense the Dawks game and they not as good as the Either
