Jamar isn't average, he is very underrated.
I'm not worried about Jolly, we play such a different game to Sydney, it was always going to take a while for him to get going and adjust.

His ruckwork has been competitive and OK, but his around the ground work in the first 2 games has been woeful.
Agreed its still too early, but what game plan are you speaking about people? He is meant to be creating the contests for us, what does he need to adapt to? He is being beaten in the ruck, and whether you want to call Jamar and Hudson good ruckmen, thats your opinion, but in mine, he has been beaten by both. I couldn't believe such a monster could be thrown around so often in one game of footy against cellar-dwellers.
THISHe's just like any other footballer, every time the scenery changes, he has to develop again.
He will get better as the year goes on.
I'm a rookie to BigFooty forums, so forgive me, but do we always start threads every time someone has a below par game? It is so knee jerk it kinda bothers me a little. (I know, I could just not read it, but I'm sucked in time and time again) And here I thought swans supporters were fickle.
I mean, Heath Shaw was trounced by Petterd. I'm not hearing anyone say Harry O is a certainty for All-Australian this weekend. Dane Swan did frog all compared to his usual standards. Travis Cloke? That poor bastard is due to be stoned, isn't he? Are we gonna have threads pop up all week about whether 'they're overrated, they're not performing, they're a liability...' etc etc.
Constructive discussions like - did we have the right gameplan/structures for a team like Melbourne - would probably be better value. Are we still a momentum side, or can we contain teams when they get a run on? In fact, I'd say both of our games suggest we still struggle in that particular area.

If it's not a matter of adjusting, what is it?
Human effort is not a constant. He's not the first quality player to struggle through back-to-back weeks.
What I saw today was Jolly getting man-handled (illegally) in the ruck all day. When he put physical pressure on Jamar he was penalised. Welcome to Collingwood Jolly.
