It is interesting that teams which have played in Darwin have been very poor the following week.

1. Carlton was flogged by Collingwood in the first round of the WC
2. West Coast was beaten by 9 goals by Hawthorn at Subiaco, where they did not lose a mtch last year, yesterday.
3. The Crows were not that impressive last night but managed to squeak a victory. Perhaps the performance was better that it looks!

Are the SANFL still looking to have an NT team in their competition?

I note, in the Wizard Cup, Collingwood played Carlton after they had played in Darwin and Geelong after they had played Brisbane in Cairns. Perhaps their form is not that good !

The thing with Darwin is that it is still in the wet season until the end of March, when humidity levels are very high. Unless one has lived in the Top End (lived there for 3 1/2 years) most have no idea about humidity. May-August are good during the day with the heat being dry and with low humidity. I would still not recommend going up there though. Might as well start a team in New Zealand.
