If they are no advantage why not toss for them like every other year ?
You do realise its not a Collingwood home game.

On that logic, why can't a team that go to Brisbane or Adelaide for a final and ask for the 'home' team changing room?

What about 2 weeks for Tarrant with no video footage of the incident and basing it all on the evidence of one white maggot that was 30 metres away from the play.

Actually, umpires are coached to be 20 - 30 metres from the play - it gives them the best possible view of the play.

Because every final appart from the grand final has a "home" advantage (except for the notorious MCC rule).

God its humerous how people seem to think that a player has 5-10 minutes to think of how he is going to approach the upcoming incident. Instead of the actual time of a split second.

So? It's been happening for 106 years? We'll just go back and revoke all the split second wrong-doings because they didn't have more time to think about it.

Yeah, he's going to miss a Grand Final. if he whacked a bloke in the schnozz like that in the regular season, it'd be no sooking and a straight penalty. Because it's Grand Final week, he's been portrayed as a victim in the media, and we're all meant to feel sorry for him. If he'd done his knee, I'd feel sorry for him. He broke a bloke's nose when striking him. No sympathy.

Not suprised he was found guilty or he was given the 2 weeks. I suspect Collingwood will lodge an appeal and there will be another hearing on Thursday - or will they allow it to be heard tomorrow?

Will Clokey's new nickname be "Reckless Kelly"?

Good to see the Tribunal stick to their guns.

Two weeks is about right, if it were one week, it wouldn't have made a difference, he would still miss.

The interesting point i bring up is that it wasn't the only time during the game where Cloke attempted to spoil with his arm under the leading players arm pit.

His style may need to be looked at...

Bad luck Jason, i feel for ya mate. Our Jason (as in McCartney) would have felt similar to you about this time in '99.

Just a cruel twist of fate that he got it wrong this time and that it was in the Prelim Final.

Cruel for whom?

Edwards for a broken nose & concussion perhaps?

Crows for missing out on a GF perhaps?

No, perhaps you weren't thinking along those lines Nick?

Why am I not surprised?

An when you think about it, 20-30 metres from the play is close enough for a cricket umpire to stand to the play, so it's a reasonable distance to make a call from.
